Leon Garfield should pat himself on the back. I have just picked up my second vehicle from Inchape BMW Malton. I hate buying cars ! Leon for the second time made things simple with no fuss and a straight forward process. The art to recognising someone is not interested in the hard sell and understanding different cusomer needs is something that not many people in the trade have in my experience. Well done Sir and BMW Malton is lucky to have him! I no doubt will be back in the next few years.

Having recently purchased a BMW from Cooper BMW at Malton I'm writing this to say I was impressed with the service I was given from all concerned especially the gentleman in sales who explained the car, let me take it for long test drives round lots of different road surfaces, allowed time for an unhurried look around the car and an unpressured environment to do the paperwork. I fully recommend this BMW dealer.

My husband booked his BMW in for a part fitting and made the 30 mile journey to the Malton garage. After much waiting around he was told they had ordered the wrong part and he would have to rebook to come back another time. The second time he booked in we both went. We signed up for a mini courtesy car and were given the keys but after much searching it turned out the car was already out. So then we signed up for a bmw courtesy car which we were told was outside the door ready for us. It wasn't and they couldn't find that either. After much flapping they found it which turned out to be automatic but we made do. We were told the part would take three hours to fit so we headed off to kill some time. After 2 hours we had a missed call from Holly so called back to be told she was on the phone and would ring us back. She didn't. After an hour we rang again to be told they had ordered the wrong part again and to come back the following day. So 120 miles wasted, plus our time and we had to go back a third time. We received really poor customer care and no gesture of goodwill. Would not recommend this garage at all.

Purchased a pristine 10 plate X5 eleven months ago, the service warning came up so as it had a full BMW service history I decided to keep it up and take it to a BM dealer, phoned the service centre and the girl promised me everything, free health check, courtesy car, a valet in & out, excellent so I booked a date. took the car in to Cooper Malton and after a long wait got a courtesy car and headed home, went back late that afternoon and was shocked to see my car parked right at the front door unwashed, When I left home that morning the car was spotless but as it rained on the way we all know what happens to an X5 when it rains, the afternoon was nice and dry so I thought at least the car will be clean, huh,
After around 30 minutes trying to sort out the bill I headed home which is a 30 mile round trip.
My last bm was a 320d tourer and always serviced at the local Bosch garage, oil & filter service £85. (castrol fully synthetic).
POINTS.
Free health check, takes all of 5 minutes.
Oil & filter change, Helix oil when BMW recommend Castrol,
Courtesy car, you get a star for that.
A few litres of oil and filter for £260, a total rip off when nothing else was done to the car. and to crown it all the red service light is still on.
Cooper Malton will never see my car again!!!

Excellent customer service on servicing my 2 series. Courtesy cars are their demonstrator fleet so first class. A great way to try the product range!!

We worked with Leon Garfield at Cooper BMW at Malton in North Yorkshire. This was the first time we had bought a car at a distance without seeing it before travelling up from Herts to complete the transaction. Leon handled this very well and extremely professionally. The car was everything we wished for. We would certainly do it again. using the BMW used car website. (However BMW might want to have someone check the filters on the site. My postcode listed me as 157 miles from Malton. Actually its around 250 miles!) However this should detract from the great buying experience we had at Malton and this was largely due to Leon. He's a major asset to the company. The coffee's also pretty good!

I was interested in a vehicle and spoke to Leon Garfield at Cooper BMW. As I lived some distance away it wasn't easy for me to call in; however, shortly after the call I received an e-mail from Leon with a personalised video of the vehicle and all the relevant details! That was excellent service from my perspective. I later visited the garage and again received an excellent service from Leon who answered all my questions and arranged a test drive for me. I did buy the vehicle and found the whole process to be a positive experience. Definitely a 5 star service.
