Copdock Kennels & Boarding Cattery

We've been taking our dog and cat here for quite a while now! When I took our dog and cat there in may ,found out on arrival that Michelle no longer runs this place! Which I thought was a bit naughty,as we should of been told. That new owners where taking it over.
Anyway... when we picked up our pets. Our dog looked very skinny and sad. We informed them, that he been having trouble with his mouth and Should only have wet food! Not dry food..!
Also mention our vets been informed and said to just bring him there if he stop eating or looks like he in pain! We given them all the imformation they needed. When we went to pick our dog up, they didn't say anything about how our dog been at all. When we went and got him out of the kennal he look very sad and just went straight myself!!! Which is odd as He a proper daddy's boy and would normal been licking and jumping all over him first then me second.
That was the first sign! Second one was we saw he bowl was filled with dry food, which wasn't touch.
Third sign was we could see he had lost a lot of weight and could see his rips!
I tired not to mention my concerns in front of my husband at the time,as I wanted to check him over myself properly.
Back at home we gave him wet food straight away and he ate it all up like he had eaten in a very long time. We got him weighed and he had lost 2.2kg.........!! Which is loads in a short amount of time.
His bed was also wet too.
Our cat seemed fine. Which was great news.
So we decide that a family member will have our dog next time.
4months later we just put our cat in this time.
When we picked him up he seemed scared and disorientated.
Mention to us does he have lumps or bumps over him! We were like... no he doesn't!
Well now he does on the back,at the top of his tail! told us to check it out, and asked if he was an old cat!
Our cat Seem like he didn't know where he was or who we were!
His has eye infected too. Our cat is also only aloud to wet food as he has stomach problems and also had an operation on if few years Ago!
Noticed he dry food in there back in may!!!!!
So we went straight to the vets and now waiting on all the results!
I've gave them the benefit of the doubt last time but not this time!!
Strongly advise anyone not to take their pets there!!!!!!!

I have used this kennels for over 10 years.
When it was taken over I gave them the benefit of the doubt, even though none of the customers were informed of the changes.
when the lady arrived she came in and seemed friendly, however, she invited herself to go up my stairs to get my cat making pigeon call noises , no, I don't agree with that, let the owner get them. When they arrived back, she didn't have all her belongings with her, she had someone else's. I put a T shirt in with my scent on it, I was told that it had been put in the wash, along with a green towel, why would you wash it if it was given for scent and comfort purposes? . As well as this, she came back in her cat box with absolutely nothing to sit on.. a rock solid, hard plastic journey back. What if they had had an accident? Would they have put their pets in such an uncomfortable way for travelling? No, I don't think they would!. I have worked in kennels/catterys so I have more than enough knowledge. I followed my gut instinct and was right. Incredibly disappointed. I have now taken my custom elsewhere.

Found these guys to be most unhelpful and rather rude. Not sure they are altogether trustworthy with my most beloved dogs. Won't be going there!

We have used Copdock Kennels for many years and can only praise Michelle and her team. Our two working cockers are excited to arrive and greet staff joyously. They come home well and happy. We have every confidence in this kennel and would never go elsewhere. Book early though as Copdock Kennels is always busy!

I have used these kennels many times for our beagle and he always comes out happy. Michelle and her team do a great job and I would not hesitate to recommend Copdock Kennels & Cattery.
