What a fabulous night at the Coppid Beech Hotel! I stayed with a girlfriend on a Friday night and we had such good fun! We started off in the Bier Kellar where they had a tribute band for The Blues Brothers. They were Jake and Elwood and they were brilliant! It was steaming hot and everyone was dancing and singing to the music! Later we went to the Apres Club that didn't close until 2am. My poor feet gave up from dancing at 1am and regretably I had to sit down. There was a hen party there of about 16 girls and they were absolutely hilarious. The bride to be had a real send off! Great place and all the staff were polite and really really helpful. In the morning we had breakfast but we didn't wake up until 9.00am but that made no difference to the excellent food. I had everything! It must have been the work out from all the dancing to the great music. There was a great selection from fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juices, croissants, bread, toast, jams and an excellant fried breakfast. It was constantly refreshed by the waiting staff. It's worth every penny...you won't need lunch! We will be staying again! Highly recommended!

I have to add that the hen party looked a little jaded at breakfast but they were all in very good spirits and obviously survived the night!

We had a party of 18 women staff are helpful and cheerful.

We had the platinum package which included afternoon tea cocktail making dinner the nightclub and breakfast also use the swimming pool was absolutely amazing weekend well worth a go

User

We always stay here when we go to Ascot!! who needs an after party when you've got the bar/pub/nightclub and your beda literally 5 minute it's perfect for us for the price and location we can't fault it the staff are always friendly, we always get a room with a balcony as they can get a bit stuffy could do with a luck of paint but I've paid more and stayed in worse place

Had our wedding here on 2nd June and it was absolutely perfect! Everything ran so smoothly from the day the wedding was booked through to the wedding itself, and all our guests were impressed with the food and overall service provided. Guests that stayed at the hotel were also very happy with their rooms. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of having their wedding here. Many thanks to everyone involved, especially Chelsi and Antonio, for making our day so special. We loved it!

User

Got married here one year ago today. Fab wedding. Our friends and family still say is best wedding they have ever been. So chilled, fun and relaxed and food fabulous. Came back for 1st anniversary as part of wedding package, (came with night here and dinner and Bfast for anniversary) They have given us a suite just like the one we had on wedding night so lovely. Thank you xx

User

As a family of four we very muched enjoyed our two night stay in one of your family rooms ,I booked through the LEGOLAND website site as a package deal, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms a lovely hot breakfast plenty to choose from. my 7 year old especially loved her choice of hot chocolate at breakfast time. highly recommended we will be staying with you again thank you

User

Only stayed one night , stayed in a family room for 5, great space in room, could of done with a few more cups as only supplied 2, rooms were very clean and tidy,

Breakfast suited for all only thing I can criticize is that we were offered coffee / tea on a rival to the table but children wernt asked about drinks atall, some guests seemed to be told where to find different breakfasts and some were just left to find themselves

On the whole though great hotel and would have no issues in booking and staying again if we were once again in the area

User

Having just stayed here for 2 nights with our three boys I can highly recommend it for great value for money for a Legoland/family visit.

I agree that some of the decor needed upgrading but this is underway and reflected the great package we received. The new gym is gorgeous and the kids loved the pool.

The staff were very Friendly and welcoming and our family room

Was very spacious and extremely comfortable and clean. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast with options for everyone and they happily catered for my babies dietary requirements. I would stay here again.

User

All in all very good experience, considering I actually live in Bracknell and know the coppid beach very well I have never really stayed there. For the price we paid excellent! I would only say that the hotel needs a bit of an update but you can’t have everything. Reception very good, bar staff very good and excellent choice of breakfast. The food in the beir Keller was also very good. Well done!

User

The staff are lovely and very accommodating and they were great with the kids and helping set them up for their meal! Unfortunately to food is a big let down. Starter choice is limited more like cold salad bits rather than your “usual starter” I have to say the soup was nice though. We didn’t get a choice of rolls they were put in our table and were dry. The main course, all food was cold and we had lunch early! The beef is far to rare ! And the person serving it just slopped it on to my plate and asked after the blood everywhere was ok for me .... not only that they kept dropping it!! Choices are limited and the Yorkshire puddings were extremely small - most likely shop bought. Puddings were nice.... but nothing special. The cheese selection is very small with just 3 choices. Their were flies constantly around the food also and no covers (very tiny flies). Was a shame because service in restaurant was friendly (although drinks took 20 min) but food and old fashioned decor is a big let down. Overall our meal came to £65 and I just don’t think it’s good value. :(

User

The food is very poor quality and the rooms are a bit dated the carpets in the corridors are old and it’s not a 4 star hotel it’s in need of a refurbish. The staff are excellent but not happy with the overall stay. But there are positives too.

Booked afternoon tea for my other half’s birthday. Arrived just before our booking time. We’re shown to our table straight away and tea was bought over very quickly. Waited a little while for our ‘afternoon tea’ to arrive. To be honest looked a little disappointing, quite sparse. I specifically asked for no fish when booking, sandwiches were cream cheese and cucumber, ham, egg and SALMON. Asked for them to be changed and they were. To be fair a whole new plate of sandwiches were bought out. Cheese and pickle instead of salmon. The bread was ‘ok’ just plain brown and white, not particularly fresh. Sandwiches were just very dull. Small cakes were nice other than the chocolate one, very sickly. Best part was the scones, however, the scones were very small. Asked for more tea (had to ask twice) eventually arrived after about 15 minutes or so. All in all quite disappointing and I don’t think very good value for money. Shame because my other half was really looking forward to his birthday treat.

User

Lovely hotel. However our family room was above the nightclub on a Saturday night, which did not close until gone 1.30am. Would have been nice to have been warned! A clean hotel. Also top tip....Families with young children should be placed on the ground floor so that your not woken early by a herd of baby elephants running across the floor above at 7am.....not sure if we’ll return.... Result a very unhappy grumpy person in the morning!

I booked afternoon tea for my daughters hen party so that we could include her grandmother and 16 year old bridesmaid. My dealings when booking were very good and staff were happy accommodate a vegan and diabetic in the party. I was told we would be in were the ‘lounge bar’ but this was actually the main reception and was a lacking in atmosphere. Soon after we had all arrived we were seated at our table and the tea and coffee arrived. It was hot and plentiful. The sandwiches were ok, egg mayo, cucumber and cream cheese, ham and mustard and smoked salmon, but the egg didn’t really taste of anything. They weren’t stale, but were starting to go a little dry. There was a handful of crisps on top of the sandwiches, which were soggy. My friend complained and 2 bowls if crisps were brought out. Think this would be a better way to serve them anyway. The vegan sandwiches were roasted mediteranean vegetables, which I am told were very tasty. Fruit salad was supplied for the diabetic, which was a selection of melon, but it was ripe and juicy, which is all good!! The cakes looked nice and were ok, but I don’t think they were home made - mini Victoria sponge, battenberg, eclair. Scones were nice, but we had to complain about the cream as it was room temperature and quite runny and definitely not clotted cream. I thought that the afternoon tea was reasonably priced compared to so many on offer, but it was quite disappointIng.

However, It’s not all bad. My friend was making adjustments to the wedding dress and wanted to be able to try it on. I phoned the hotel the week before and explained and asked if it was possible to use a room to try on the dress. Jay was very helpful and offered us complimentary use of a boardroom. This was very useful, except there was no Mirror.... I spoke to a lovely lady in reception and hey presto, a mirror was supplied! Thank you both very much!!

All in all, lovely, helpful reception staff... food was ok, but needs Improving and a better setting and more attentive waiting staff are needed.

User

Had a night at the hotel. Upon arrival we had to wait to be checked in as they were doing a shift change. Whilst we was waiting we thought we would have a drink at the bar. The guy who served us was really rude and the price of drinks were disgusting £9 for a glass of wine I could go over the road to the shop and bought 2 bottles for that price!! Also breakfast in the morning was poor not a lot of variety or the best quality of food.

When we got to the room the size was spacious however again very dated really in need of a refurb. Went to the spa we didn’t have any robes in the hotel room had to phone reception for this, again and spa hotels I have been to have always offered robes and slippers which his was not provided and had to ask for a robe.

When we got to the spa staff were friendly however found it was very grubby and in need of a revamp. Wood was broken in the sauna floor was dirty have seen better in a leisure centre.

Overall I would t rate the hotel a 4 star hotel more of a 2 star the way the hotel is at the moment would not recommend it, and would not be looking to rent book again in the future :(

Ok, so after our unsuccessful visit in January we were sent a voucher as an apology to come back again for afternoon tea. So, we booked for Monday 14th May. Arrived, excited for a yummy treat. So, arrived at about 2.20pm. Booked in. The lady behind the bar brought our tea out almost straight away and then a couple of minutes later bought out the sandwiches and cakes. Almost immediately we could see that it didn’t look particularly appetising. The cakes looked nice as did the scones but the sandwiches looked very lack lustre. So, we tucked into the sandwiches and to be honest there was no way they were freshly made just before they were bought out to us. Nor were they made earlier and then covered adequately. The bread was starting to go stale and the half a dozen or so crisps were soft. The sandwiches were ‘ham’ ‘egg mayo’ ‘cream cheese and cucumber’ and either ‘chicken or turkey and lettuce’. The ham was the sort that you buy in the supermarket 5 slices for £2 that kind of quality. The egg mayo I think was flicked into the bread from a distance (see pic below). Very very disappointing. Cakes were mini battenburg (my other half said they were quite nice) mini Victoria sponges - the cream was dripping out as they had been allowed to get warm and mini chocolate eclairs. They were like cardboard. The scones were very small and obviously bought in rather than home made and warm as is mentioned in the description. The jam is not home made and the cream was not clotted cream . So when the lady who was looking after us came over to see if everything was ok we told her all of this and showed her the picture. She was horrified and took our phone to show her manager who also was apparently horrified. She insisted that the head chef came out to see us so that we could give him our feedback. He did come out and spent a few minutes with us apologising and insisting that this is not what he expects of his team and that he will get to the bottom of it. After this we finished our cup of tea and left. I expected to receive a phone call as this was a 2nd visit but no. I also messaged the hotel on FB asking for someone to contact us. No communication at all. We have spent money and time and petrol (2 half days from work) to come for afternoon tea and have been disappointed. I absolutely would not recommend the Coppid Beech if you want to go for a yummy treat. Go to M&S instead, nicer and less than half the price. The lady who served us I have to say was absolutely amazing (I think her name is Sharon also) and is a credit to the hotel.

We had a meal in the Restaurant of the hotel

It wasn’t overly busy in our mind but to wait over an hour for the main course of Salmon and the 50 minutes for a simple cheese plate afterwards was totally shambolic

The Restaurant Manager has feeble excuses knowing full well that the Hotel was full. These were simple plates which at most should have been 20 minutes

There is NO excuse for bad service

Stayed over the Christmas’s period and received a bad experience. After being told the pool would be shut for our stay which we excepted that to then find out the day we were checking out by another guest it was actually open the whole stay so we could of gone after all but yet no member of staff felt it was there duty to inform us . Breakfast was shockingly bad ( bacon I’ve had softer cardboard) and bedcovers with rips in. So we get offered an complementary stay but we would have to pay the extra for the joining room because we are a big party to ring up and make a booking to be told we can’t stay when we want to we can only stay at a weekend period not through the week which I’m sorry I feel is taking away the good will gesture to a family who have stayed previous at this hotel. My husband also cancelled a gym membership with this hotel due to the lack of working facilities. A lot of money for a wasted night and feel let down by this hotel and the fact in the email offering us this stay there was nothing stated explaining when we could use it and that was a manager who dealt with it. Not worth the money !!!!!

User

Really disappointed with my stay here this weekend, we chose this hotel specifically for its ‘nightlife’ spent a lot of money on a 3 night stay. Spent the day in ascot racing and we were eager to come back to the hotel to have food and a few drinks. Had food in the restaurant Friday and Saturday, then followed by some drinks in the beer garden outside. Me my partner and a another couple we’re drinking and playing some games Saturday evening, we were not being loud or disorderly just having a good laugh. We decided to have a look at beer Keller and on entry was confronted by a very rude women who said we had to much to drink and shouted at us like we were children and refused us entry. It was so unnecessary. We made a complaint to reception staff and I’m pretty sure they could see we were not drunk but still refused us entry. We had travelled over 250 miles and were looking forward to the live music but our weekend was ruined thanks to the over the top staff. We even had a chat with a hen party who had experienced Similar behaviour from staff. Constantly being told to behave and be quiet for no good reason!!

So my advice to anyone looking to have a good weekend and some drinks go somewhere else!!!
