This hotel is the bees knees. We had a 2 night stay due to going to LEGOLAND and I couldn't fault anything about it. I asked for a hard egg at breakfast and within 5 mins it was brought to me. Kids had a welcome pack of colouring activities On entry to room in the lobby you have complimentry sweets and a drink as well. My grandaughter pinced 20 of the sweets because she thought they were put there for her and we were all inclusive, i soon made her put them back ..The Pool, Jacuzzi area is fab. I usually look for bad in hotels, pubic hairs in showers etc but believe me I'm so fussy , this hotel have far exceeded my expectations and am sad to leave tommorow so if reception is reading this, free wine please in room 218 as promised only kidding can't wait to come back next year, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their kindness, hard work etc.. you will be seeing me again x

Stayed as part of coach trip to LEGOLAND. Hotel clean, room was lovely, bed comfortable. Evening meal was enjoyable but squash for the children would have been a nice touch (tea and coffee provided for adults). Breakfast was really nice, scrambled egg was gorgeous. One criticism was that only 4 small pots of milk in room for hot drinks, when we asked for more they said no so would recommend taking small longlife milk as fridge in room. Overall really enjoyed staying here.

User

I stayed over night as we had work christmas party at the hotel. Staff were friendly and informative at checkin and room was comfortable and clean. Only small thing i would gripe about is the room i stayed in did not have instruction on changing bath to shower but everything else was perfect. Breakfast was fab so much to choose from and as much as you want.

Would definitely choose to stay again and recommend to friends and family.

User

I have stayed there many times over the years and the management and staff are outstanding, Very helpful and understanding even if a problem is not of there making! When I am in and around London I will go out my way to stay there, Highly recommended, you will know what a quality service is if you stay there even for one night, the downside, you will be constanty disappointed with other hotels.

User

I didn't have any expectations, but I was genuinely happily surprised with the hotel. Like a majority of people we used it for going to Legoland and only spent the one night there. It is a little dated, but I've certainly seen worse in my time, and it didn't feel grubby like how some places can. Nice few options of food in the evening (we were knackered and not particularly hungry, so just opted for bar snacks), little activity pack for the kids in the room, TV set up for miracast and chromecast (something that isn't as common as it should be, and brilliant for those of us who live off Netflix and Amazon), a good range on the breakfast buffet with a good quality cooked option and very professional staff.

I'd happily stay again, and most likely will on the next Legoland trip.

User

Can’t fault this hotel at all. We only stayed one night as part of the legoland deal but we would definitely return. Room was a nice size and very clean. Breakfast was spot on

Staff were very helpful and friendly.

User

All the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Rooms are a bit dated but nothing to worry about as it was all spotless.

Breakfast was great so overall a good place to stay whilst going to legoland.

User

Very pleasant staff who made my stay , although short a pleasant one. My room was very clean and the view from my window was magnificent. Lots of choices at breakfast. Did not have enough time to check out the swimming pool but others who went said it was great.

User

Just returned from an overnight stay whilst visiting legoland.. the staff were fantastic and couldn’t have helped more, the room was lovey and clean & spacious and perfect for our evening. The only thing we didn’t like as a group (4 adults & 4 kids) was the evening buffet. The menu was very odd and nothing we’d normally order and we didn’t enjoy it atall.. £17.50 per head (kids free) which would have been reasonable had we liked it. We were not told about the beer and burger bar menu which would have suited our whole party much more. We would use the hotel again however as it was great value!

User

We have just returned from an overnight stay in this hotel. As we checked in we were advised that for an extra £30.00 we could have an upgrade to a club room, breakfast for 2 (which was £15.00 each) free parking (another £8.00) and 2 free drinks, obviously this was to good a deal to pass up. Our room was lovely and big, air conditioning was humming quietly and everything was clean and tidy.

We went out to a party and returned about 1 am, the room was quite cold so we turned off the AC then we had a problem, a very loud and annoying humming could be heard, we checked the room but found no clues to what it could be,. Eventually we rang reception to be told it was the extractor fans above our room on the roof!!! We did ask if they could be turned off but to no avail, so we had a very restless night..... There's never no such thing as a free meal.

In the morning we did complain again but was told that if we had complained earlier they may have helped, but changing rooms at 1.30 in the morning did not appeal to us, so beware aware of upgrades to the 6th floor.

User

Stayed here on the 1st and 2nd of August with my family with the Lego land package. All I can say is it’s ok. The room was clean but very worn, their buffet dinner is an outrageous price (17.50) with under 9’s eating free but very little choice and not very nice and dessert is not included. I couldn’t fault the breakfast good choice and plenty there. The option of going swimmming was a big factor for us but again a let down it was small and a bit grubby. If I’m honest I was was expecting a lot more because it’s a 4 star hotel but personally I think it should be no more than 3. Would I stay again? Probably not

User

Stayed here for 1 night. Staff were warm and friendly. Toilet handle was broken, beds not comfortable and the room was too hot. Dinner and Breakfast was great, however i would of liked a better selection of coffee.

User

Not the best, stayed because it is local to where I needed to work. Lucky I'm able to use the stairs as only 1 of the 2 lifts were working they only hold about 5 people and a bus load of tourists had just arrived and all were waiting. I was on the 5th floor.

Read it had a pool so I was looking forward to a dip. However the pump was broken so no pool.

Very outdated hotel but good for what it's there for, overnight stays before flying from Heathrow.

Not great for overnight stays for work.

User

It's ok for the 1 night we stayed while visiting legoland. We've stayed before and its never been this bad. The room was like a sauna, the put up bed for the children was all metal and springs, the bathroom light worked when it wanted to, the toilet had the same problem. Only 2 places to eat-a chinese or bar snacks which had limited seating ( we ended up ordering room service and paying a fortune!), not good when you have children. Not sure we would stay again, however close it is situated to legoland!

User

Hotel needs updating. Rooms were tidy and clean but tired looking. The heating wasn’t on in the room but the room was too hot even with the window left open. The TV had a mind of its own and would switch itself off. The bathroom light worked when it felt like it. Most staff were friendly and helpful although when I asked the bar staff how I could heat up a baby bottle I was told that I couldn’t, eventually the lady decided she’d give me a jug of hot water but it barely heated up the bottle (most hotels that have children stay have a microwave somewhere for the parent to heat bottles up). The food at the buffet was nice but overpriced at £17.50 per person and not much choice. Pool/gym was okay although the pool was really gritty on the floor and tiles needed attention. On the plus side the beds were comfortable, the water was hot for showers and it’s only 3/4 miles from Legoland.

User

Clean and tidy rooms but the place need an update. No plugs next to the bedside to charge your phone . Basic continental fresh breakfast, but the dirty plates can put you off.Picked 5 different plates and all were dirty...Pleasent service. Had a chat with a lovely waitress called Maria. Also used gym facilities, decent standard. Overall very helpful staff. Would come back for a short stay

User

Would not recommend this hotel, stayed recently with a legoland package. Not one member of staff smiled at us the entire time, plus we couldn't flush our toilet at first and had no water, couldn't eat in restaurant as electric was down! They knew about these issues but failed to tell us when we checked in, let us find out ourselves and then didn't even care! Dispicable service from all members of staff.

User

Stayed here with my daughter as was one of only a few in area with space.. wish we hadn’t. Lady at check in was friendly and pleasant, that’s where the nice comments stop. Charged £8.00 for parking overnight even as a hotel guest in the hotel car park. Went to bar for a meal, beer was flat, a burger and chips was £13.50. And it really wasn’t good, tried a second beer that was also flat so really not a good experience. Room was way too hot even with windows open, so not a great nights sleep. Bathroom was clean but sink plug leaks and decor is tired.. no plug points by the beds. Breakfast wasn’t a pleasant experience either. Glad we only risked it for one night and that would need to be the last one.. sorry Copthorne hotel but for the prices you folk want to charge you really need to not only read these reviews but act on them..

Don’t book - went in June for trip to London and Legoland. From booking to leaving it’s been a shambles. I’ve had better (and cheaper) stays in the Holiday Inn and Premier. We booked this for the pool but will use a leisure centre next time. Rudest staff ever and still waiting for a reply to email I sent last week to the manager about the noise from Indian wedding the first night. Was told I’d get refund for that night but surprise surprise that’s not materialised. Don't waste your hard earned cash to be treated like rubbish!
