Malcolm, Kathy and Matthew Muckle welcome you to one of Northumberland's oldest holiday park's Coquetdale, the home of Sharp's Folly. The Muckle family have owned and managed the park since 1967. We are located overlooking the historic town of Rothbury.

Coquetdale Caravan Park is the perfect location for those wanting to escape to their very own country retreat. This secret countryside haven is located just off the A1, fifteen miles north-west of Morpeth, twelve miles south-west of Alnwick and just over thirty miles from Newcastle.

What sets Coquetdale apart from all other parks in the region is the location. Set within 25 acres of privately owned land, with blissful panoramic views, the park offers its holiday home owners the perfect country escape. Coquetdale Caravan Park is on the outskirts of a conservation area, overlooking the Coquet Valley at the base of the Northumberland National Park. It is a glorious natural setting for your very own country retreat.

Coquetdale is a non-commercialised park and has a selection of new and approved used static caravans, holiday homes and luxury lodges available for sale with something to suit everyone. There are standard and premium grade pitches, and all of the holiday homes are from well known and trusted manufacturers with varied specifications to suit different tastes and budgets. In addition all holiday homes come with a pitch guarantee and warranty.

We want you to enjoy your holiday home to its full potential, and with over 40 years combined experience running our Caravan Park in Northumberland, we feel equipped to be able to offer you valid and relevant advice. The park owners provide a very personalised service that best suits your lifestyle and budget.

The community at Coquetdale Caravan Park is varied in age, from families to couples of all ages. The Park is divided into seven different areas offering a great range of choice and something to suit all budgets and requirements.

All our pitches enjoy unspoilt views that range from the Cragside National Trust Estate, to the Simonside and Cheviot Hills, the Coquet Valley and the market town of Rothbury. The peace and tranquility is what set’s Coquetdale apart.

Coquetdale Caravan Park is host to a thriving wildlife, including many a red squirrel, owls, badgers and even some resident deer. Choosing Coquetdale Caravan Park is choosing a rural sanctuary with everything you need to forget about the normal stresses of everyday life.

There are no bars, clubs or entertainment on site so you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area completely uninterrupted.

Coquetdale Caravan Park is just a short walk away from Rothbury otherwise known as the ‘Capital of Coquetdale’ and offers a peaceful haven as there are so many walking and cycling routes to explore from your holiday home. The River Coquet meanders through the centre and is popular for fishing and is a pleasant and popular walk. From Coquetdale Caravan Park you can explore the surrounding Simonside and Cheviot Hills and all of the Northumberland National Park.

Depending on how adventurous you are feeling there’s plenty to offer in the beautiful Coquet Valley and nearby. Cragside House, Garden and Estate is a ‘must-see’ and is less than 5 minutes away by car, and is arguably one of the most iconic National Trust sites in the country.

Historic castles in the area include Alnwick, Bamburgh, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, and Warkworth. There are extensive beaches to visit, many English Heritage sites including Belsay Hall and Gardens, Hadrian’s Wall and Lindisfarne Priory.
