Cornwall Air Ambulance Description

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust exists to provide a platform for information and education about the air ambulance and to fundraise to meet the costs of flying the helicopter.

Fundraising efforts are strongly supported and driven by the community in Cornwall, as well as by visitors from outside the county who also become involved.

Fundraising can take many forms including sports events, village fairs, charity evenings, sponsored events, and much much more. If you would like to find out more about fundraising for CAAT please get in touch.

Charity representatives are also sometimes available to give talks to community groups or schools to raise awareness of the vital work of the air ambulance.

Cornwall Air Ambulance runs the Mission Maker lottery to win a top prize of £1, 000 each week. For information and advice on gambling visit https://www. begambleaware.org

Have you been airlifted by Cornwall Air Ambulance? We are putting together an exciting video about the charity for the New Heli Appeal, and we want to feature home videos of some of our airlifted patients.
Whether it’s footage of your baby’s first steps, a sporting event or another special occasion, we’d love you to share them with us. PM us to get involved or you can send your clips to chloe@cornwallairambulancetrust.org.

Here’s just some of you who have generously donated to the charity recently:
If you’ve raised money for the charity, send in your photos and you’ll be featured next week. #Fridayfundraisers

Last night Cornwall Air Ambulance was called into action following reports that a woman injured her leg in a fall at a mine near Penzance.
The charity’s pilot and paramedics arrived on scene just after 6pm, where they assessed the woman and administered pain relief. Due to the remote location, the helicopter crew worked alongside Cornwall Search and Rescue team to transport the patient safely to the aircraft.
The patient was taken aboard the air ambulance and flown to Royal C...ornwall Hospital for further treatment.
Thanks to Cornwall Search and Rescue Team for the photos.

Your lovely team rescued me on 14th September 2014 in the middle of no where on the moors after falling off a horse. I had sustained a shattered pelvis, broken sacriatic joint, broken sacrum and two fractured vertebrae. Your team we're amazing and did nothing but make me smile and comfortable. Nearly a year later I'm just about back to normal and slowly starting to ride again. I raised £500 whilst laid up at home from Facebook friends and my family and friends are currently organising a fun ride in aid of your charity. You guys are amazing x x

Absolute legends. I organised a motorcycle ride around Devon slightly going over the border into Cornwall, when unfortunately we had a rider forget to turn the corner and went flying into a field. Can not fault the quick response of the crew luckily no life threatening injuries but if it was then our rider was in the safest hands possible.

User

A big word of thanks for flying me from Porth to Trelisk after i was found unconscious at home. I have no memory whatever of the event but you saved my life. Again - THANKYOU.
