Cornwall and /Devon Community Organisers is a CIC set up to grow and support the work of community organising in Cornwall , . This spring it expanded its area of influence to include a growing number of organisers across the region . We are a community engagment company , who LISTEN ENGAGE AND EMPOWER . Using a root solution model we visits individuals in their community to identify concerns they might have , we engage in meaning dialogue to create opportunities for residents to make better choices about decisions and actions that have a direct impact . We currently have a growing number of clients who believe that believe should be listened to first and support a shift from top down to bottom up community development . We are passionate about inequality , we believe all authority can be challenged but always seek to build working relationships with services and local authorities . Our team and associates have developed individual approaches to this work . Community Organising is very time consuming and highly considered as it takes time to create long and lasting change . We are currently shifting from grant support to contracted work . The associates are a regional network of practitioners across the southwest who wish to grow the community organising movement they meet regularily , support best practice and lobby the national legacy body to ensure the movement can grow naturally from the grassroots up
