Cornwall Healthy Schools

The Cornwall Healthy Schools Programme supports health and wellbeing for the whole school community for schools throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

At the heart of our work is our support for schools wishing to be recognised as a Healthy School. We do this by offering schools a self-evaluation tool based on the key foundations of being a healthy school - Personal, Social and Health Education, Healthier Eating, Physical Activity, Emotional Health and Wellbeing and how the School Ethos and Environment interacts with them.

In addition we offer access to high quality training based on effective, evidence-based interventions to support wellbeing in school as well practical in-school support, excellent resources and an extensive, well-maintained website (indeed series of websites! )

We challenge the schools we work with to extend and stregthe their healthy schools work by going beyond Healthy School status to Healthy School Plus - a needs-led, outcomes focused piece of work intended to bring about real change.

We are known for our innovation and determination to develop the programme to offer the best possible support.
