Cornwall Life Recycle supports disadvantaged people to help them achieve a goal.
In most cases this is to build a bicycle for them to take away to use for getting fit and to get out and about more and building confidence
Typically the chosen bike will be stripped down to the frame, then rebuilt. Any worn out or un-serviceable parts are replaced, where necessary with new parts. During this process the participants learn new skills which will enable them to maintain their bike.
The key factor to the success of Cornwall Life Recycle is the one to one support given to the participants, by the volunteers who without them we could not run as well as we do
For many participants the friendly and welcoming atmosphere has made attending the project more of a social event, rebuilding a bike being an added bonus and mentoring them becomes fun
If you know of someone who is over 11 and would like to come and learn new skills or who just enjoys fixing bicycles, we work on a one to one basis We have been running since 2009 and have a great team to make your day comfortable and stress free.

We have places available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9. 30am and 3. 00pm
Our prices start from £ 40 a day
Our hours are flexible to suit you and give you time to travel.
Anyone can make a referral; you do not have to be a service provider
