Went out on a lovely 1hour hack this afternoon, scenery was lovely and trekked on a mixture of terrain. Had the opportunity to trot and canter which was amazing! Instructor was very friendly and made the three us extremely welcome! Time went too quickly! Will definitely return to go on another hack!

We had a complaint about a previous phone conversation to the stables. This complaint was dealt with in a very professionally and caring manner by the manager. Full resolved and exceeded are expectations. Thank you

We booked a 1-hour hack in the summer holidays but I've only just found the button to press!! No-one else cane so we had the instruction to ourselves (3 of us) and my 6-year old who was on a lead rein had to learn hard & fast to control her horse as mine wanted to eat things in the hedge & generally refuse to move! As the more experienced rider it tickled me that I needed the instructor more than she did! Charlotte loved it & when we are next in Cornwall she wants to go again AND not have reins! Me on the other hand; I'd like a different horse!

Me and my mum Helene went on a day ride to Devoran with wheal buller! James that we rode out with was very good at giving us the help we needed and telling us about the beautiful landscapes, plants and places we rode past. A wonderful and varied ride with lots of different scenery and some amazing canters! The horses were amazing and well taken care of! Thanks to James, Karen, Ruth and everyone at wheal buller we had a lovely ride, would definetly visit again!

Extra info - the place where we stopped to eat had lots of vegan options as well as omnivores options!

If I could give more than five stars I would! I first went to Whealbuller when I was 16, and I still remember arriving with my parents around 1:30pm, expecting that my riding would start the next day, however Janet greeted us and said as I was there I should join the 2pm lesson! Nothing like getting you started right away! By dinner another guest had arrived so Karen took us out for a lovely evening hack, and for the rest of the week the riding was just as plentiful. I returned to Whealbuller every year for many years, and any time I have been in Cornwall on a holiday I have always tried to get out for a hack.

The staff and horses are superb and the location stunning. I have always admired their ability to accommodate different levels of rider on the same ride, making sure that the more novice riders feel safe and have fun while those who are more experienced still get the chance to have a few canters.

One of the most professional yards I've ever experienced, where riders are challenged to improve and have the opportunity to try a variety of different styles.

I've always wanted to try side-saddle, and whilst browsing for horsey things to do whilst on holiday in Cornwall I spotted that Wheal Buller offer side saddle lessons. Clicking further through their site I spotted the swimming with horses pictures and I was sold! A couple of e-mails later and I was booked in for a half-hour's sidesaddle lesson followed by a swimming with horses trek. On arrival I was looked after by Karen who took my sidesaddle lesson, and Jeepers, my noble steed. It was the most extraordinary experience (I can't describe it - you'll have to do it yourself), and kudos to the ladies of old who used to charge about the countryside on one of these. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and after a workout like that I was definitely ready ready for a dip in the lake! Belinda looked after me and a few other riders and we hacked up to the lake, then saddles off, cossies on and in we went! It was a hot day and both horses and riders got a good cooling off. Josephine was my equine companion for the swim and she was a delight - responsive and forward-going and good fun to be with. Yes, I fell off in the water. It didn't matter. I'd definitely recommend this. Face it, when else are you going to do it?

I started riding at 13 yrs old at wheal Buller and it was wonderful back then.when my daughter started to show an interest in horses I knew this was the only place I could bring her .5 yrs on and Jess is doing amazing and it's due to the outstanding horse star and facilities here.

I have been to lots of different riding schools around Cornwall, and Wheal Buller is by far the best, great horses who are suitable for beginners and know their job and then lots of horses who an experienced rider can really learn on and be put through their paces.... I haven't found another riding school to have such a variety of horses, especially for the more experienced rider. All horses are always turned out to a 5* standard and the yard always looks great, so lucky to have such good hacking so close with very little road work lots of great canters

User

Had a fantastic hours trek thank you :) xx
