This is our special “Christmas Doughnut” a light fluffy doughnut, filled with Baileys Irish Cream, Cream Cheese filling, and drizzled with Baileys flavoured Caramel... Ho-Ho-Ho!

It’s WICKFORD AT CHRISTMAS, day! Today we are show casing our Christmas lines and our Christmas order book is now open. We are open from 10am until 2pm, so pop in and check out our Festive Fayre! Oh! We have visited numerous times since it opened and have never been disappointed.. delicious food at such a reasonable price!



We spoke to Simon to place an order for a BBQ this weekend and could not have been more pleased. Nothing was too much trouble and Everyone commented on how amazing the desserts (tarts and gateau's) and burger buns tasted.. we made sure to send them your way!

Visited today after being recommended when cossons was in Romford! Omg was not disappointed 6 lovely cakes for £5.30 & the ladies were lovely so chatty & great customer service. The cakes of course did not disappoint! Will Defo be returning. Sod Greg’s cakes cossons all the way x �

Visited this bakery today and bought a variety of different cakes and all of them tasted amazing! And such good value for money. Will be trying the bread next!

This was my first ever place I worked at as a very young 16 year old training to become a baker they spent there time teaching me every thing they no and I felt like one of the family the place still makes amazing bread and cakes to this day and always will and the day I left was very sad and one thing I will always be thankful for is that I was no longer a very young boy I was a man the place is a amazing and so are Toni,Rachael,and Simon thank you for every thing please go visit and enjoy the bread and cakes

They do amazing cakes and deserts to order and so reasonably priced! I have used them for our Christmas desert-profiteroles and royal wedding party- Victoria sponge cake and scones! Just delicious. Everyone commented how much nicer than the supermarket and shocked how reasonably priced! They are always so lovely and polite in the shop and do extra to make your day special. Such an amazing place. �

The key lime pie last week was incredible. One of the best things I have ever eaten.

Picked up my husband's birthday cake which was amazing! Beautifully mad, perfect customer service and amazing prices. Wouldnt go anywhere else now! Well done guys

Omg this is the best bakery around for miles. the cakes are an absolute explosion � of mouth watering delight and the staff are incredibly friendly and such a great husband and wife my twin boys ❤️ getting a cake from cossons bakery

My Dad and all

My family used this wonderful bakers for many many years when they were based at Harold Hill, Romford.

My children (33 & 36 now) grew up tasting the fantastic delicacies, created by this wonderful family concern., as did all of Dad’s many children and great grandchildren.

When they were forced to vacate the premises together with all the other shops, to make way I believe for housing, we thought that would be the end of Cossons�. Thankfully it’s not�!!!

I heard they had moved to Wickford but wasn’t sure where, thanks to Vince, we now know and will most Definately be paying regular visits.

I and my family now live in Billericay so not too far to visit.

I look forward to seeing you all very soon, Rachel will Definately remember our dad TED TAYLOR xx

Lucky to have tasted the bread prior to their official opening and can only say...OMG...amazing bread, fresher the next day than a loaf purchased locally was on the day. I don't usually eat bread but feel my cuddle lumps growing at the mere thought of that shop being open all week �

I ordered an assortment of fresh cream cakes, some quiches and scones for a party and they were faultless - absolutely delicious and great service. Thank you. �

I called with a very last minute birthday cake order for 10 people and Cossons didn’t disappoint! They made a delicious Ferrerro Roche cake that looked amazing too- thank you so much for saving the day !



Will be ordering all my cakes here in future and worth the journey!

Bread is very good indeed. We've tried a whole grain sandwich loaf and a crusty white one, and both were devoured enthusiastically.

Cakes likewise. I've knocked a star off since I can't eat synthetic cream and there aren't any fresh cream alternatives. Otherwise I'd give five stars with great joy.



Thank you to Simon Cosson and your family for having confidence in Wickford. My family will repay with regular business, and I hope many others will too.

Bread is fantastic.

Also tried one of the Devonshire scones yesterday. Had to be one of the best scones I have ever eaten. Diet out of the window as I will be back for more, lots more lol

Being gluten intolerant a bakers is not normally somewhere I visit often however Cosson’s bakery do the most delicious gluten free bread and cakes I have ever tasted. The bread tasted so good that my hubby didn’t realise it wasn’t “normal”. The lemon polenta cake and the cookies are my personal favs ( so far) but Simon is always willing to try and create new gf yumminess. Thanks guys, you make me very happy x

Absolutely Fabulous Cakes



We were holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning today, we ordered 3 x 10in cakes (Carrot Cake, Chocolate and Coffee & Walnut) from Cosson's Bakery. They were delicious and they looked great, everyone loved them. Thank you so much Simon and the team! It was a great success we raised over £420 from friends and relatives.
