This company has been first class: friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was a problem and we were always treated with the utmost respect. Bizarrely enough, it made moving house a positive experience. Many, many thanks.

Cotswold carriers are careful specialist carriers and removers. We use them for part load within Europe and have used them without fault. Clean, modern fleet and friendly drivers.
We make new furniture and deal in antiques and wouldn't hesitate to let them carry for us.

In the interest of fairness and balance we feel obliged to put the record straight regarding the complaint by Mr and Mrs Vetch.

Firstly they fail to say that it was over 11 months after the delivery before they notified us of the alleged missing 2 rugs. In that time their effects had been moved again from a third party store to their residence. Secondly the client was insistent that he be at the store in Worcester to see the effects in from the truck. We arranged the schedule to accommodate that. He was asked merely to see that it was all delivered. We do not understand the comments that they were too tired as they had had at least 2 nights sleep staying with a relative.

Insofar as being old and infirm: this is at odds with almost single handedly building a swimming pool and carrying out major construction works on their French property. Mrs Vetch also keeps and regularly rides horses. The client would have been fully aware of the difficulties in getting to his property but instead elected to tell us that access was OK. As a result a small van was required to trans-ship the effects up a steep unmade track.

What is also puzzling is the length of time it took for the contents of his house to be found missing, given that they were allegedly valuable and cherished. All of a sudden a third rug was found to be missing. Equally the loading crew noted that these rugs were in fact dirty, threadbare and covered in mouse droppings and dried mud - again not consistent with the client's later declaration that they were cherished items. Another complaint was that a wall clock had been, according to the client, badly packed and as a result was not working. The clock was taken to a clock maker who confirmed that it was not broken and just needed a good clean. Given the state of the property, this is not surprising.

The reason we have stopped email communications is that it has proved impossible to communicate sensibly and that they refuse to accept any responsibility whatsoever.

We have known and worked with Cotswold Carriers for many many years and they are a very professional, customer care oriented and reliable company. Together we have been in this business for over 75 years and know what we are doing and how to do it. The comments are completely unmerited and serve only to try and further his unjustified claims.
