Spend a day with us at The Cotswold Perfumery, we'll teach you the science of smells, offer you drinks and nibbles, take you out for lunch and then give you hands on experience making your own perfume.
Our Level 1 course is the perfect gift for anyone who loves perfume or has an interest in perfumery and wants to make their own perfume or for those considering perfumery as a career. It also provides an excellent insight into the perfume industry and a real world experience of... a fully operational perfume laboratory.

What a fantastic day yesterday at the perfumery. John engaging, all staff fantastic. Learnt lots, a truly fantastic day, lovely group. Will definitely be undertaking level 2 course, am truly inspired!!!

We booked Apt 1 for a short mid-week break. Wow!! Lovely accommodation, you want for nothing and can't get any nearer to the centre!!

The apartment was fantastic, very well laid out with the bedroom at the rear.

I would really recommend staying at The Perfumery.

We loved the tour and were amazed at the scents of some of the flowers in the perfumery garden!

Jack particularly liked one orange flower that smells like chocolate!



It was a great afternoon and I love the products for women and men both!

This is a little hidden GEM of a place!

It's a traditional perfumery where scent is stripped down to basics, then built up, later by later, over time, until the required smell is just right!!!



It's an olde English type of place, very traditional, but very beautiful!



They run tours to show how the perfume/aftershave is made, classes for you to make your own, and an exquisite shop whee they sell their wares.



It really is a beautiful place! Now with a self catering section I believe.

If you want an absolutely perfect place to stay in Bourton-on-the-Water, look no further. This is by far the best self catering accommodation I have ever stayed in. Both comfortable and luxurious with all the mod cons you could possibly need. A huge number of small touches that make it perfect.

I think the Cotswold Perfumery is wonderful. I have been visiting for more than 40 years & still love the fragrances, especially the Neroli.

I recommend the Level One and Level Two courses to anyone suffering the fragrance possession as well as to professionals focusing on a particular fragrant issue, to get this base knowledge to light your target in wide context. I appreciate complexity and perfect balance within practical, educational, safety/legistation and bussiness aspects. It fulfilled my expectations and brought me much more added, the environmet was favourable to discussion on any olfactory subject and the master perfumer proved real patience and kindness to answer any question. The beautiful environment and eating in a fancy restaurant just enhanced the extraordinary feeling and permanent fascination. The real icing of the cake was the opportunity to attend the Lab Day after completing both levels, and apply gained skills and knowledge liberally.

The one and only negative is, that nobody warned you before that you might desperately fall in love with your master perfumer. :-)

I discovered the Cotswold perfumery for the first time this year. Led to it by the perfume wafting down the street. I was enchanted. The perfumes are so original and fresh. J

I could actually smell the perfumery before entering, loved the Rose fragrance and jewelry, purchased both~

I attended the 1 day lab workshop many years back, and have now booked up on the intensive day. I cannot wait to be back in the labs again! It's such fun and John is an industry expert. It really is great value for money and you will also get to take home your own creation. I highly recommend studying here if you're in search of professional perfumery classes.

Have been a visitor to the Perfumery for more than 25 years and wouldn't wear any fragrance but theirs. Each perfume is unique, not mimicked or matched by any mass-produced, overpriced "designer" rubbish, and the price is very reasonable for such high quality. Online ordering is easy and any queries dealt with quickly. Their jewellery and other gift items are distinctive, the staff knowledgeable and friendly, and the location/architecture very picturesque. I don't shop here every month, but am a regular customer and the Perfumery is extremely highly recommended. Class bottled in glass, they truly are!

Had the most amazing time, learning about perfume making. John was excellent in explaining throughout the course and very supportive.
