About Cotswold Rda

We are so much more than just a riding school. We are a supportive community of riders, their families, carers, volunteers and of course our ponies.

Cotswold Rda Description

Our purpose is to promote a culture of learning, development, achievement & enjoyment for our riders that allows them to reach their full potential.

CALLING ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS - LOOK OUT FOR OUR VOLUNTEER ONLINE ROTA EMAIL.
We have listened to you!
Many of our volunteers have said that it is not easy to let us know when they are not able to come because of holiday etc but also that they would like to know about other volunteering opportunities ie: Tea with a Pony, catching the ponies, fundraising etc.
... We have chosen a volunteer rota system called ‘Three Rings’ which is used by other big charities such as MacMillan’s, the Samaritans and NSPCC. We are working hard to get things ready to launch the new system in the training week in September.
It would really help us if all of our existing volunteers could complete a short online form to help us populate the new rota system. Look out for our email or you can sign up here https://www.cotswoldrda.org.uk/volunteer- rota

Thank you so much to the team from Barnett Waddingham who spent the day tackling our sensory walk and the garden around the arena! We have had so much support from them over that last couple of years. They have not only given us their time but also paid for our show jumps, donated office furniture and been VIP volunteers working at The Festival for us! We look forward to another team in the summer 😃

We so nearly had a century today! Sadie was born in 1916 and lived in London through the Blitz before moving up to the Gloucestershire countryside. She has recently celebrated her 103rd Birthday and she really enjoyed watching a group lesson which had our youngest rider who recently celebrated his 4th birthday! 99 years difference but both ages feeling the benefits and joy that contact with our ponies can bring!

Our Kitty and her mum, Tina are at the studio and looking forward to meeting Clare Balding to talk about her new book The Racehorse who learnt to dance which is all about how RDA makes such a difference to riders like Kitty 😃

Dave is back at Cotswold RDA! He has given his owner Lois and Team Cotswold lots of sleepless nights worrying about him. We are all hoping for a speedy recovery. I know that all of our riders and volunteers love him and wish him a very speedy recovery!
