An end has drawn on another Christmas Day , thank you so much to everybody who has supported us this December you have been epic and without you fantastic out of town public houses like this wouldn’t be able to keep their doors open, it’s as simple as that.
The Cottage Inn is closed for a couple days for some Xmas time with Archie and Asia, I hope everybody gets down and enjoys the festive cheer and goings on in Lynton and Lynmouth.

We stayed for the weekend, our room was very nice, fab shower! Very clean, the owners were very welcoming. We ate at their Thai restaurant on the first evening the food was fantastic the best Thai meal we've ever had to date, the price was very reasonable and good portion sizes.

A very relaxing place to visit with the river running down the side. Breakfast was nice also.

Warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, ale and food superb. Certainly the best roast dinner out we've had in a while. Thank you to Gary and all the team we look forward to coming out to try the Thai.

Very nice place, good food and beautiful view of the river. The car park was very convenient. The owner were very friendly. Will come back again.

My friends and I recently ate here, from the Thai menu, and the food was stunning. I have to say probably one of the best meals I have ever tasted. Plus they were dog friendly, always a bonus. I will be back!!

Lovely place! Managed to get a room at very short notice as we were not planning to stay in the area but decided to at the last minute. Very good sized room, lovely and clean just what we needed and the added bonus of a fabulous nights sleep listening to the river below. We were lucky enough to get a table for dinner in the restaurant, fabulous food! Absolutely delicious, best I’ve had since I was last in Thailand. The staff were all excellent and guided me towards a very good gin. Thanks for a great night.

Lovely meal here tonight with my 10 year old. Her first Thai food - and won’t be her last. Great staff who didn’t blink an eyelid when my 9 year old with sensory issues had a massive meltdown and had to go home, thus reducing our booking from 4 to 2. Really kind suggestions about where she could sit next time to reduce her stress. And, the food was amazing. Thank you!

Just come back from a fabulous stay at The Cottage Inn, we were in the attic bedroom which was lovely & spacious, you could hear the relaxing sound of the river behind, & it was peaceful & quiet at night. Lovely breakfasts served overlooking the river & staff super friendly & helpful. We also ate in the restaurant & the food was fantastic, again we sat overlooking the river, fairy lights everywhere which gave such a romantic atmosphere. I really do highly recommend staying & eating here, its ideally located for Lynton & Lynmouth :-)

First time back for 5 years or so... couldn't fault the Sunday roast .. top dollar ... nice cosy pub.. nice staff. Definitely worth it !

Finally! I have confidence that this may actually work and we shall return for our annual trip to the same proprietor. Great staff and great food. Would be perfect if a couple of rooms could take dogs then we wouldn't have to camp.

Absolutely lovely, friendly staff, Nala was made very welcome, food looked amazing and smelled gorgeous all freshly cooked, trying some tonight!!! What a wonderful place!!

Absolutely delicious Thai food. Totally authentic and consistently good. Rumour has it the Thai chef / owner won the Thai equivalent of Masterchef. I have no reason to doubt this as the food is A1 �- friendly staff & delightful quintessential English pub environment. Just perfect!!
