Council For Higher Education Internal Audit

CHEIA is the representative body for Higher Education Internal Audit Service providers in the UK whether provided in-house, by consortia or contracted out arrangements. CHEIA aims to provide a network for all internal audit professionals for their development and the promulgation of best practice. Put simply, CHEIA objectives are: • To develop and promote the role and status of internal audit in higher education • To encourage professional development, and • To help our members achieve the highest standards in the provision of effective, value-added and cost-effective internal audit, which will meet the needs of their institutions and provide assurance for the multiplicity of stakeholders of the HE sector.
