Counter Terrorism Preparedness Network (Ctpn)

Led by London Resilience Group, the CTPN is an international collaboration that focuses on understanding the experiences and practices of cities to identify gaps and opportunities that can inform and influence priorities. It brings together strategic leaders, multi-agency partners, academics and independent experts who are working in this space to harness a variety of approaches and strengthen them further. It offers a shared platform that serves as a knowledge exchange, enabling practitioner experiences and expertise to meet academic research at a targeted city-policy level in a way that hasn't been done before. It recognises that cities that develop strategic arrangements and explore policy design and implementation in an integrated manner can use this as a lever in developing resilience against terrorism. Mission Statement: To bring together strategic leaders, practitioners and academics to inform city-level policies and practices that build resilience to keep our cities and communities safe from terrorism. Aim and Objectives: The CTPN aims to influence the strategic multi-agency arrangements of cities in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from terrorism. CTPN overarching objectives are to: Develop and maintain relationships across CTPN partner citiesProvide a secure and constructive platform for cities to share their experiencesExchange lessons, practices and materials that can strengthen city resilience to terrorismUndertake research to influence and inform city-level activities, arrangements and policy Support the implementation of recommendations and monitor their subsequent impact Review CTPN reports as new strategic lessons, research or practices are identified Collaborate through an on-going exchange of expertise and engage with other relevant stakeholders to provide connectivity with parallel projects, initiatives and agendas.
