Hi everyone,
We know the weather is supposed to improve this weekend so just a reminder from us that if you are out and about on one of our sites, or just in general, to keep practising social distancing and following all government guidance.
Have a good weekend and stay safe.
We have kept many of our green spaces open for people's daily exercise as we know that it is vitally important for people's physical and mental health to be able to spend time outdoors during this period.
We want to hear how our green spaces are helping you. Are they keeping you fit? Clearing your mind?
Tell us your stories in the comments below.
Good afternoon everyone,
Please find attached an update from the Land Trust around the opening of the car park and the emptying of bins on site.
We want to keep the Countess safe as safe and pleasant as possible for people during this difficult period so everyone's co-operation on this is very much appreciated.
Stuck for something to do with the kids during this time? Why not try something like this. You don't even need to leave your garden! πΈπ€
This is a great way to attract some wildlife into your garden, and you can even get creative by decorating the pot if you fancy π¨
Hi everyone,
Due to current government guidance around social distancing it is highly likely that bins on our sites won't be emptied as regularly as they usually would be.
During this period we would kindly ask, that if you are using any of our sites for your daily exercise, that you take any rubbish or dog mess home with you, and that you do not use the bins unless you have no other option.
... Otherwise the bins will fill very quickly and potentially pose a health and safety risk. We know it's far from ideal but ask for your patience and understanding during this time.
Thanks

We thought we'd try raising your spirits with a little poem this evening βΊοΈ
This poem by William Wordsworth seemed the perfect fit. There's lots of daffodils around at the moment, and although you might not be able to see any right now, hopefully you'll be able to imagine you're in a lovely field of daffs while reading this! πΌ
Feeling inspired? Send us your favourite poems for a chance to be featured tomorrow π©
We want people to still be able to enjoy getting outdoors in our green spaces but it is hugely important that people are doing so responsibly and following the appropriate guidance.

The park isn't going anywhere through this uncertain time. If you need a bit of fresh air or a quick stroll, we're still open. Look after yourselves, Chester! π³πΏπΌ

The hard work of our volunteers is vital to the success of the Land Trust's green spaces.
This is evident at Countess of Chester Country Park where our Friends group have confirmed the date for their fourth annual tree planting day.
In the last three years over 4000 trees have been planted on site.
