One lucky staff member was out buying pet food supplies at HJ Lea Pet Food Superstore and was presented with this wonderful donation from Hays Travel Nantwich. The goodies were shared with nurses and staff who are working hard to keep us safe. #ThankYouNHS

This week we've been overwhelmed once again by so many acts of kindness. Thank you so much. It really makes such a difference right now.
Thank you to Chris Matheson MP who helped arrange for John Lewis Chester to deliver pillows for staff areas, blankets, pop-up beds and more to keep our teams going. We've also received food from Costa, Five Guys and a local Chinese takeaway. Thank you! ūüĎŹ

We know many of you are trying to follow the government advice to stay at home. We also know that parents are worried about bringing their children to health facilities at the moment.
Please remember that most children can be assessed without being seen in person by calling 111 or going to https://111.nhs.uk. For those that do need to be seen our team will be here to care for you in our Children’s Respiratory Assessment Unit.

If you are worried your child may have Coronavirus, please telephone 111 for advice, or go online at 111.nhs.uk. Many children can be assessed by telephone and avoid the need to come to hospital.
For the small number of children that do need seeing in hospital, we are today opening a new Children’s Respiratory Assessment Unit in the Women and Children’s Building. There is a separate entrance which is well signposted on site.
Children coming to A&E with symptoms such as feve...r or cough will be redirected to this area to be seen. This will help to relieve some of the pressure on our A&E at this busy time.
Please be aware that Covid-19 swabs will NOT be performed on this unit.
