My Mam had a fall and broke her arm. The manner of all the staff was wonderful. The nurses and doctors were caring and professional. The other staff such as cleaners and porters were friendly and helpful.

My mother recently suffered a stroke and was taken by ambulance to the A&E department. The level of care was exceptional and all of the Countess team went above and beyond their duty! My family can't thank you enough for everything you have done.

Horrid waiting times!! Phoned an ambulance due to having many major symptoms of meningitis and I was not considered a priority! Absolutely ridiculous! Supposedly not enough staff on Absolute disgrace

The a&e department is hell, the waiting time is ridiculous. You will be waiting about 2 hours from the first point. Depending on where you go but majors you are then waiting another 2-3 hours just to get a bed/ have bloods taken. Then you are waiting another 3-4 hours to see a doctor with your results. I used to be in a&e regular with an ongoing issue so i went through this process often, its ridiculous. Then whilst i was waiting to have surgery i had a pre op done and was told i could be on the waiting list for the surgery for up to 6 months. 6 months had gone by so i phoned up to question why i had not heard anything and it turned out the surgeon i saw didn't even put me on the waiting list. So i had to wait even longer...i was put on the priority list due to my problem becoming more serious. Thankfully only another few months went by before i could get my surgery. Was ridiculous the amount of a&e trips i had to take, atleast one every two weeks for nearly a year with a flare up. I should have taken it further but 17 year old me didn't think to log all the information down and neither did my parents.

I have had 2 babies, 2 operations, various tests and samples taken, and a short stay with an infection at the Countess. All care received was excellent, particularly in the mother and baby part! My daughter was taken in for 5 days when she was first born and the staff went above and beyond for the entire family. I couldn't be more grateful, and frankly blown away by all the time I have spent there. Praise to all NHS staff!

Had Knee Replacement. On the ward, no interaction with nurses, they were too busy. Put on ward with A&E patients, some with colds. Girl in next bed on phone from 6am talking about patients on the ward.
I was discharged 5 days later in EXTREME PAIN and so exhausted because of dreadful pain control. I was given the correct painkillers etc by my own Doctor after me having to phone her. I couldn't eat or sleep because of the pain.
I had an appointment 6 weeks after the op. Then told he would see me in 12 months!!! Had to go back because on ulcer on that knee. Surgeon who I saw for few minutes only, had no patience. Went back (2 months later) to see how knee was. Only there few minutes, few minutes!!!!! Why did I have appointment???? Told by Doctor he would see me in 8 months. Got my appointment this morning for 2019!!!!!! Waited 2 months for Dermatology appointment. Given one for 2 months time. My own Doctor thought I had a rare skin disease on my operated knee. Thank god it doesn't seem I have. Dogs don't get treated this bad. Disgusting.

There are some nice nurses etc at some departments. But sometimes the hospital is let down by bad Doctors.
