Our Walberton Place Care Home helped Walberton Cricket Club celebrate their 150th Anniversary by inviting the oldest ex-players they could find to enjoy lunch at the Walberton Place bistro. The guests were bowled over by their meal, Chef Sergio served braised 6oz steak cooked in brandy & peppercorn sauce served with tender broccoli and horseradish mash. The Grove Care Home hosted an Antique Valuation Day, visitors enjoyed a talk by expert Terry Dean from Lincoln Auctioneers Unique Auctions and visitors had their items valued. We enjoyed a fabulous finale to our Come Dine with Me events at Lakeview Lodge Care Home who pulled out all the stops with an Oscars themed lunch. Residents have been visiting each other's homes to enjoy a fine dining experience prepared by the home's Chefs. After much deliberation, Ferrars Hall Care Home was declared the winner for the best overall experience. Lakeview Lodge provided fantastic food and Rose Lodge Care Home gave a warm welcome and set a high standard for the rest of the competition. Our chefs are hard at work preparing for our final ‘Come Dine with me’ event today. Lakeview Lodge in Milton Keynes will be welcoming residents from two other care homes to join them in the private dining room for lunch. On the menu will be pan fried fillet steak with langoustine tails and parsley purée accompanied by butter poached potatoes, heritage carrots and asparagus.
