Friday 12th April 2013 💙💖
6 years ago today, I went on a lunch date with a man. Little did I know back then that one day this beautiful man would be my husband. Well, I say “little did I know”, that’s a lie. Why? Well, because I always knew....
After months of ‘knowing looks’ and Facebook messages (aaahhhh, Facebook!), on Friday 12th April 2013, I finally met with this wonderful man. Looking back, it was a pretty good sign we had to send the waitress away 3 times because we w...ere talking too much to even look at the menu!
One day, we were on holiday when he woke me up (...in what felt like the middle of the night) and told me to get ready as we needed to go somewhere. He walked me down to the beach and as the sun rose over a secluded bay, he got down on one knee in the sand and asked me to marry him.
Fast forward to 2019 and we have married, changed jobs, moved to the countryside, bought and are renovating our little cottage, had our beautiful Son and now building our business. 6 years isn’t a long period of time but my god, we have squeezed a lot into those 6 wonderful years.
My husband and our Son are my absolute world and without either of them I wouldn’t be who and where I am today. He has shown unbelievable support and guidance whilst tirelessly working to help bring my seemingly impossible ideas to life. I am so proud of the way we work and what we have achieved together - ultimate teamwork! I have the crazy ideas and often start conversations with “So, I’ve had this thought....” while he listens patiently and works out how it can be done. (How lucky am I that I married an engineer?!?!).
I don’t give him enough credit nor tell him often enough just how phenomenal and talented he really is - I am so unbelievably grateful to have him in my life, more than he’ll ever know. I hope over the next 6 years we can continue to grow, bringing new heights to Country Foxes in the same way it began....together!
Thank you for everything - your support, love, kindness, hard work and above else, belief. I couldn’t possibly do all this without you, and I wouldn’t want to!
