An ancient proverb says, “rather light a candle than complain about the darkness.” Candlelighters support families facing children's cancer.

The Grocer Own Label Accreditation Scheme has produced some excellent reviews for two of our products, with our Mediterranean Bloomer being awarded a maximum score of 50 out of 50.

Every year Nana Wood brings her beautiful country garden to the non-stop bustle of the Leeds HQ and a little bit of tranquillity settles on the brick and tarmac. She’s ambitious though and her efforts are usually rewarded with a GOLD MEDAL.

We know Easter is over now… But we are still enjoying our Easter Chocolate Dough Ball Pizza. It’s the perfect afternoon sharing treat. Chocolatey dough filled with white and milk chocolate chunks, topped with Easter egg sprinkles, chocolate sauce, chocolate curls & marshmallows.

This special time of year is perfect for catching up with loved ones and enjoying some delicious desserts. Merry Christmas.

We have this month completed our year of support for the Candlelighters, by donating proceeds from our Country Style Christmas Bake Off 2018 competition. These are added to funds raised by our marathon runners earlier in the year, during the Country Style Charity Challenge, when they ran the Yorkshire Marathon. This year the Bake Off had many fantastic entries, three wonderful judges and a lot of fun. Thanks so much to everyone who made their entries. They were all delicious. Thanks to the judges and everyone who came to take part. We raised £950 from the Bake Off, making a grand total of £10,950 raised for Candelighters this year. Our Raspberry and Passionfruit Meringue Wreath has won Gold in the Olive Magazine Supermarket Awards, with our Luxury Blackforest Layered Gateau winning the Silver award, both in the Best Frozen Dessert category.
