Staff Christmas night out ,fab food great service highly recommend for a party night ,Dans hospitality was spot on ��

Our first visit, we sat on the beer terrace at the back which was very nice, lots of seating with some under shelter. It could do with a bit of a spruce up but to be fare it had rained a lot the night before so looked a bit battered. However the food we had was delicious, large portions and very reasonably prices. It was very busy with people eating so that says a lot. We will definitely go back for food next time.

Enjoyed the superb Christmas Menu last night with work colleagues in the restaurant. Amazing food and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Many thanks to the chef and all the staff.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here today , steak salad was fab, staff helpful , sun shining , would definitely return x

Came here with my husband and daughter for an evening meal on our short break to Scarborough and wasn't disappointed. Lovely place, lovely food, friendly and helpful staff, cheap drinks (cheaper than back home anyway!) Would definitely recommend

Came for a graduation meal with loads of people food cane quickly, great service and it was delicious!�

Best bar in town fantastic staff and great food great place for a traditional sunday roast at a very fair price loved the place.

Ate there last night, food was brilliant and very high quality. The staff were great, very informative, helpful and extremely polite. Great atmosphere, really good prices and the music was superb. No guessing where we will revisit when we are next in Scarborough!!

Food was good service good inside nice and clean but out side was a mess lovely area but needs to be kept clean and tidy

No heating indoors over winter made it only OK for one drink and ingrained dirty tables outdoors on last trip made it unsuitable for food in what would be a nice sunny place. Resting on laurels or just very little competition around?

I do really like this bar and will continue to keep going in but I did think it was a little naughty last night how they were handing out illegal tender? And was told they only had old pound coins in the till.

Food was gorgeous, bar maid was polite, friendly and very attentive. The problem was the cleanliness and clutter. We turned up at 12, All the tables were filthy. I understand it’s hard to maintain when the tables are underneath a tree and surrounded by shrubs. Ash trays weren’t emptied. Glass and fag butts on the floor. Hose pipe and brushes left out. I hate complaining but I was concerned for my 16 month old, I had to let him out of the high chair with the lengthy wait for food!

Was disgusting service . And very rude. Went in for food and got refused because my friend had tracksuit bottoms on at 3.45 in the afternoon. Only reason for wearing them was beauace she had just been in a fire at her work that day which lead to her change of clothes been destroyed in the fire and her been in shock and lucky to be hear. All she needed was some food and fluids and calm down . Was abruptly confonted by staff and told to leave because she had tracksuit bottoms on. You'd think people would have a little more decency when she was clearly shaken up. Won't be going back again !!!

The whole place needs a good scrub from the toilets upstairs to the outside seating area, sticky grubby tables and menus, cigarette Stubbs everywhere outside, considering this bar had not long been refurbished the standard of cleanliness is poor, I would not eat here. I mentioned the same thing last year when I visited, nothing has changed...

I wouldn’t go here... refused service due to wearing joggers. What a disgrace! I wouldn’t recommend this pub to anyone at all. You’re just losing profits in my option - turning somebody away because they’re not in jeans is beyond me !!!

Group of 5 lads, turned away from ordering food and a drink at half 4 in the afternoon for wearing joggers.....when people were already there with joggers on, eating!! Very very disappointing considering we are regular customers there and all we wanted was a meal after work.

Absolutely shocking. Bar staff extremely rude were more bothered about carrying on their conversation than serving the customers. Told by one of the bar staff and I quote "The menu is all wrong and the prices don't Match up its shocking plus we don't sell any of those so don't know why they're on there" really ace customer service, them Asked to split the bill and got tutted at saying "well it makes it harder, cant you just pay her cash" then mixed information about paying on card with a £1 charge per transaction which seemed to be applied only when the bar staff wanted too when watching other customers come in and pay via card. Absolutely disgraceful.
