There was a bet placed during the World Cup at our Pengegon shop and this is going to be the outcome 😂

We have finally received our first delivery of beautiful Cornish new potatoes. Because of the extremely dry weather we have had they are later than normal and still a little small. They are frying lush and making an awesome chip.
We have struggled with the old potatoes we have been having, and know our chips haven’t been perfect. This bothers us more than anyone else.
We would like to thank all our customers for their patience and loyalty.
... Our chips are now back to what everyone expects from us 😃

We have been contacted by a local butcher that is producing high quality sausage.
We are asking you our customers would you be willing to pay an extra 5p on a sausage and 10p on a jumbo?
The sausages are made locally, using local pork. No added rubbish. These sausages are slightly dearer, hence we are asking the question.
... It would also be nice to be able to support another local business.

Better quality than the other fish and chip shop that is supposedly in Illogan but isnt.

Best fish and chips bar none. Always glad to come back when we've been away. Others are more expensive and no-where near as good.

Best ever. Aunt Bessie will never be as good. yummy.

Lovely fish and chips,but surely they can fry a load up before opening as the que puts me off .please please sort this out you would probably take more.

Heard loads about this chippy so decided to try it out- Waited almost 40 minutes for food to be sorted, wasn't very busy either! Staff were friendly and apologised for the wait, would use again only if I had plenty of time to wait !!

Food is OK Curry sauce not very good. If you want to be made feel welcome make sure you get there at least half an hour before close. If not you get made feel like you are in the way as they are clock watching and rushing to get the food out, which results in having hard chips. Shall definitely not be rushing back!!!!!!!
