We're pleased to announce that, weather permitting, our open day fundraiser for Aerobility will be joined by Douglas from www.flyingwithdiabetes.com/ and Rob from www.aerosparx.com.
Douglas will be bringing his RV-8 and answering questions about his various flying achievements; nothing major, just small trips like his flight over the North Pole and most recently the 'Three Peaks and Four Corners' challenge where he flew to the most Northerly, Southerly, Easterly and Westerl...y airports in the Britain all in one day. Douglas will be with us from approximately 09:30 until 13:30 when he has to depart for his next adventure......
Not to be out-done, Rob will be there with his modified AeroSparx Grob 109, complete with various pyrotechnic protrusions, and a wealth of knowledge and experience to share from his unique formation night display team.
Everyone is welcome and there will be lots of things to see and do. We hope you can join us on Saturday 29th.

Captain Patch and his handler Mike spent the morning dodging the rain to completed landing 17 of our JuFly landaway challenge. Patch had a successful shift in the tower while Mike enjoyed a bacon roll in the ever friendly cafe 😁.

Really pleased to confirm that The Gliding Centre from Husbands Bosworth will be bringing their fantastic gliding simulator to our open day on 29th June. In addition to the amazing 747 simulator provided from Flight Simulator Midlands we can guarantee some flying no matter the weather! https://www.theglidingcentre.co.uk/

A #ThrowbackThursday to October 2010 and a nice shot of this 1944 de Havilland DH89A Dragon Rapide taken from our club balcony. There probably isn't a better view of the runway except from the control tower!
While we can't teach you to fly in one of these, we do have two very nice well equipped Piper PA28 Warriors that are ideal training aircraft.
