What an amazing place to take children on a rainy day! Can’t believe it’s free. Both of our children (4 and 2) loved it.
What an amazing gem of a place for a wet Saturday afternoon, found about it after a quick Google search of what to do while we were in the area. So glad we went. Staff were friendly, helpful and observant without making you feel watched! Unfortunately we missed the super sonic simulator due to it closing before we got to it but also gives us a fantastic excuse to return. A must see place for anyone with an interest in cars and other transport.
What a interesting place so clean and bright and welcoming. So many vehicles and lots of info. Will go again as sure i didn't allow enough time to take it all it
What a fantastic place , loved it , if your in to wheels it’s a place to vist , thank you for making us feel so welcome
Well worth a visit. Spacious, well laid out and very informative.
We went yesterday and travelled by train from Longbridge. A lovely walk from station stopping off first for lunch at coffee#1. The museum is a must for any car enthusiast and I can't believe its' still free apart from a donation. Huge amount of cars through the ages together with bikes ...... well worth a visit.
We Love going there we have been so many times love the new event with the buses my daughter really enjoyed it. great for a family day out
Very interesting, free to enter, and very informative. Also thought the cafe was excellent with well priced food that was top notch
Very interesting place to visit and to understand some me of the history of Coventry.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Great cafe with lots of gluten free options. Brilliant day.
This museum is great and free to go in... would recommend
This is an excellent museum...! Interesting variety of exhibits, very well presented. Friendly staff and a very well-interpreted story of transport in general and Coventry's particularly significant role in it. It is well located right in the city centre and admission is free..... Highly recommended!
This is a true Jewel. I didn't know what to expect but was delighted with the layout and the display of such iconic pieces.
This free, yes ,FREE, museum is excellent for all ages. I feel there should be an entrance fee as I watched people dropping pennies and odd change into the receptacles...really??
Well done all the staff who were courteous and deserve our support.
Thank you.
My son was up at Coventry University on a short course so I decided to stay up here. Seen the museum and thought that I would take a look. What a fantastic place. Loads bigger than what I was expecting. The layout was perfect, friendly staff and FREE admission. Great place to visit what ever the weather! Coming back again so my son can visit
Lovely place for all the family :) so much to see and learn and I couldn’t believe the admission was free as this place is worth paying for Fantastic day out ! Great facilities ! Even a nice and quiet breastfeeding room ! Will be returning with more family and friends in the future ! People go and see for yourselves
Interesting place for all ages with hands on activities for the younger ones. I came with a 12 years old girl and a 10 and 9 years old boys. All happy, impressed by the Blitz experience and the simulator ride. Thank you.
I went to see my friends for the weekend and they brought me here. I very much enjoyed it and found it very interesting. My little girl loved it :)
I have been many times and I have loved everytime I have been. Esp yesterday when there were classic Jags outside the museum. Very nice cars. I took many photos. The museum is free. Its one of my fave places in Coventry to visit. I never get bored. Plenty to see in the museum.
I always love visiting the Museum but deplore the fact that fewer and fewer exhibits are being allowed out on the road. I get the impression that the current management not being Coventry area born and bred do not appreciate that those whose families worked in the motor industry want to see the products of their labours actually working!
Had a great today with the MGCC Zed Register. Thank you for allowing the MGCC to use your grounds to host the event. Museum is fab as well.
Great place, laid out very well and been done to a very high standard. Will be visiting again
Great place! Was on my own, so had a nice slow meander around the exhibits. Fantastic car, motorbike and cycle history. Free admission, so well worth the visit. Nice coffee shop too that does tasty sandwiches, pizzas and cakes. I used the P & R at Memorial Park. Only 10 - 15 mins away - easy access. Cost on bus was £3.10 for 1 adult. Cheaper than city centre parking and no stress. Bus also goes to Warwick.
Great place to visit...
Great place for a day out. Beautiful old cars.
First time visiting here and what a brilliant experience it was
Bigger than it looks from outside and not just car exhibits
The wartime part was unexpected
Only downside was there wasn't many 70s - 90s cars especially Austin/Morris cars
Marina, Allegro, Mini, Montego, etc etc which I believe were built nearby
Also NO Fords Cortinas Escorts etc etc iconic vehicles
Fantastic museum! Can’t believe they manage to keep it free. Well worth visiting
Excellent had a great time well worth the visit loved all the bikes through the ages
Excellent , well laid out exhibition with a wide variety of historical information around each area.
Brilliant museum ,spent three hours there with my nine year old grandson who just loved it .So much to see and learn ,had visited several years ago and it’s even better now . We paid to go on the land speed car simulator ride which was informative and fun . Am amazed it’s free to go in.to this museum We did pay for a worksheet but that helped to focus on items and learn more . Highly recommended .
Brilliant afternoon out with the kids. They love it all including history of transport, the blitz and some local issues around Coventry. Thoroughly recommended.
Amazing place. Passionate staff. Visited 3 times in the last week alone. My favourite exhibits is the Jaguar collection and of course the land speed record cars.
A wonderful couple of hours where there is a wide variety of experiences available for the children. I do however feel the workshops are a little over priced at £2.50 when previously they were £1.50 which was much more appropriate!
A very interesting collection of transport over the years, from bicycles to buses. Excellent👍
A superb collection of vehicles from Coventry. A little more info on the key designers such as Harris Mann would have been ace. However all in all its free and has some excellent exhibits and is worth the trip or worth being sent to Coventry as the saying goes.
A regular visitor with my 8 year old grandson in the school holidays. Thought it would be packed but it was easy to get about. Love the new layout, thought we'd lost the Coventry FA cup bus but no, just in a new place. We enjoyed the simulator and a virtual taxi ride around the sites of the old car factories. We'll be back.
A great free attraction that chronicles the motoring history of Coventry, very well laid out and spacious and♿️ friendly.so easy to get to I will definitely return
Thought presentation of vehicles poor. Many were covered in dust and some had flat tyres. Gave impression they didn't really care. But then I was very impressed with the history of the motor industry in England. Pity that the unions killed it all.
I was there as a trader for Coventry Steampunk the venue is excellent but most importantly the staff could not do enough for us. Thank you.
On a positive note for parking. Set your sat navs for Silver Street. Easy to find. At the back of the Museum. £8 for the complete day but Sundays are only £1.
I travelled from Birmingham ( on my Senior bus pass ) to the Transport Museum
which was opposite the bus station , so very convenient - also had free admission into Museum , so even better ! We had a very interestind afternoon viewing transport through the ages with history etc - a Steam Punk festival was also on - so music etc thrown into the mix - a lovely souvenir shop and cafe where you can also sit outside - would recommend a visit as it is very family friendly !
