What a great place for a bite to eat, fantastic quality burgers, lush sides and the cider selection is amazing!!

There are no frills, furniture is ad hoc in places but the experience is worth it all!

Went for lunch on mother's day as a change from our normal Sunday lunch. Really nice burgers, good portion sizes and great cider - we loved it. �

We had a lovely meal at the Cow and Apple in Dorchester with my little girls last night - when I asked about the gluten free options they were fantastic - all normal chip, dips (including bbq) and burgers are GF and a GF bun to go with it! They made it so easy, fuss free and so easy to order! I wish all restaurants could think like this!

We came for my nephews 21st Birthday on Sunday. There were 11 of us so we pre booked our food on a few hours before. The food was fantastic & the waiting staff couldn’t have been more attentive! I would highly recommend & we will definitely be coming back! Thankyou for making it a lovely chilled family birthday gathering 👌👍

The big breakfast we had on Sunday was the best we had for a long time could not believe the size of the sausages big is the word server by Rosie she was so nice to our son Bryn we never been there before and glad we did go for food will go again when we can

Second time at the Cow and Apple and this time, rather than an evening burger, we went for breakfast.... absolutely lovely! Such good value for money. Friendly atmosphere and am looking forward to my next visit!

Recently went in with friends for a meal, and the staff were very friendly. The decor is laid-back, urban and my kind of thing. The booth seats are preferable.

I had the burger of the month (suggested to C&A each month by a diner - I think this was November?), which was a beef patty, with smoked cheese, garlic creamy mushrooms and rocket. I can honestly say that this was the best burger combo I have ever had. Please put it on the regular menu!! I would have it every time...

The only thing that would put some people off (such as my husband!) is that you have to order all sides (fries, onion rings, etc, etc) separately at an additional charge. I appreciate that this maybe works out better for people who don’t want the extra sides, but then I’m not sure the burger price reflects that these aren’t included.

Anyway, it doesn’t bother me enough to mark the place down in this review, but may put others off, so thought it was worth mentioning as feedback.

Overall, another great place to add to Dorchester’s growing social scene.

My wife and I visited here for breakfast and were blown away by not only the quality of the service but the beautiful food which was provided. Cider and burger is certainly my type of restaurant, so I cannot wait to come back one evening and try the evening menu and of course the range of ciders. Keep up the good work guys and we will be back very soon

Lovely food, polite attentive staff, hubby loves the cider. There's a lot of care and thought which has gone into this place....and really handy for The Plaza and of course Dippy on Tour x Good for couples, groups of friends and families.....I can't fault it x Well done Cow and Apple ���

I’ve found my new favourite restaurant in Dorchester, just what’s needed here - and bonus points for being next to the cinema!! I booked a table for myself and my partner to come in for dinner a couple of weeks ago, and though it was quiet, we still enjoyed it. Lovely chilled out vibe, great music and we weren’t rushed even though we were super indecisive! The food is perfection � we had a gurt burger and pulled pork tacos, beautifully cooked and best chips I’ve tasted in a long time too... I keep dreaming about that food, days later! Fantastic choice of drinks available, great for my partner who loves to try new things. I would’ve too if I hadn’t been driving! Love that there are decent non-alcoholic drinks available and milkshakes too - I couldn’t fit in a shake when I went but will definitely be trying one next time, they sound amazing. Service was friendly, helpful and the only downside was that it took ages for someone to come over once we were done so we could get the bill. However it has got a little busier and I think I may have just been tired and frustrated! We didn’t try dessert as we were too stuffed, but they sound good, just wish there were more options available! All in all, five stars... we’d been looking forward to trying it out for ages and were not disappointed, and will definitely be coming back again!! � I love that tacos are an option, let alone more than one type!! �� you’re even tempting me to try a vegetarian burger, despite being a meat lover, they sound so good... good job Cow & Apple! �

Ideally situated next to the Plaza Cinema. So we went here yesterday for dinner before going to the movies. We both had excellent, well cooked 100% beef burgers, gorgeous onion rings and curly fries all cooked perfectly and not greasy. Fab place with great, attentive service and reasonably priced. Will deffo go back soon. Be great when opens outside too.

Hi my wife Karen Haskell and myself ate in your place yesterday and found the food to be of an excellent standard served by friendly staff, I had the piggy back burger and this was an excellent choice my wife had the skinny chicken burger and no bun and we both found them great value x we then followed it with the apple crumble pudding xx

Loved the choice of no bun and more salad plus SP fries and hummus for starter. Loved the wine glasses too !! Would have been a 5 but we were sitting near the door and it doesn't close properly so a bit draughty. Great if you're GF, and mainly grass fed beef. Will go again.

I visited the Cow and Apple on Saturday evening and I have to say we had a very enjoyable time.

The staff were friendly, our waitress Megan, was amazing.

I had the chicken burger, which I really enjoyed.

Had a nice meal at the Cow and Apple tonight with some friends but I'm afraid the evening was spoilt because we were told they were shutting up shop at 9 o'clock because they had no more bookings for the evening. We'd only got there at 7.30 so, not what I call good service. Admittedly we were the only party left in the restaurant but, we were still paying customers and they are supposed to be open till 11. I'm not sure I'll go there again.

had the burger with brie and caramelized onion. Onion content was minute but more provided when requested. I was not asked whether i wanted burger medium, well done etc. Unfortunately it was extremely overcooked and dry as a bone. Staff were very nice and did not charge for the burger, however it was really disappointing that a restaurant charging nearly £9 for a burger weren't able to cook it properly, however, as they were so pleasant and said they would feedback to the cook, i will give it another go in the future

We were really excited to go here but were sadly quite disappointed. Staff were lovely, however service was quite poor I.e no chair to sit on, no cutlery, and a long wait for a drink. They also forgot our chips after waiting for 20 minutes for them. When we paid they were still on the bill, my partner pointed this out to then get home and see we were still charged for one of them! Shame as we were really looking forward to it after such good reviews seen.
