Cowgate Cricket Club

Cowgate Cricket Club (Since 1993), play their Ist and 2nd teams in Northumberland and Tyne side Senior League and also a 3rd Senior team in Hetton Lyons Sunday League. The facilities are improved regularly like the new clubhouse and dedicated car park.

Cowgate Cricket Club was established in 1993, initially playing friendly cricket only. Shortly after its formation the Club commenced playing league cricket in the A division of the Northumberland Cricket League. To date the First XI hasbeen the Premier League Champions four times since 1995. Currently the club has three senior teams playing in the Northumberland Cricket League (First & Second teams) and the Hetton Lyons Sunday League (Third team). The club is also developing a junior section. The facilities have been improved recently with the construction of a new clubhouse and dedicated car park.

Leave the A1 at the Kingston Park / Airport junction, head towards the city on Ponteland Road. Proceed over 3 roundabouts and turn right at the ALDI suprermarket (currently under construction). The ground is situated behind the supermarket.
