What a gorgeous place, we found the free beer tap, which was a bonus! Staff were friendly, the food was excellent. We stayed in the Cipriani Palace room, fabulous. Love the late night porter at the top of the stairs

WOW, what a place. Beautiful scenery, amazing rooms (we stayed in Bird Island with our own private hot tub and sauna). Staff were fantastic, (Claudiu the porter couldn't do enough). And to top it all off the food was sensational

Took my partner for his birthday meal here after hearing family and Friends rave about the place. From start to finish everything was perfect! Service was excellent and very attentove and the food was to die for. Wanted to stay over however all rooms were booked but will definitely return in the future!

Think this could of been the best hotel suite I’ve stayed in... we stopped in The Hermitage and it was perfect! The room was so big you could of had a game of 5 a side football in it.. the finish of the rooms were amazing! But having your own Sauna & Hot Tub was the just perfect on these “Snowy March days” had Drinks in the bar on arrival while we waited for check in & went back over for a lovely meal at night! Thanks again to everyone that looked after us & we will be seeing you again in the summer!

The best place we have stayed within the UK.. could not recommend it enough. The manor, room and service were amazing, staff could not do enough for you. The food was out of this world to.

Stayed there for our Pearl Wedding Anniversary, in the BoraBora room. Enclosed hot tub was lovely & all of the rooms were spacious & the theme was lovely. We had a wonderful 3 course meal in the restaurant. Drifted off to sleep looking at the stars through the Dorma window. Breakfast was lovely. Lots to choose from & the staff were all wonderful. We will definetly be going back.

Me and my partner stopped in the Bardola Lodge for one night and loved it! The room was amazing with a private outdoor hot tub! The bed was very comfortable and room very clean! The man who showed us to our room was lovely and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was fab and we even got an extra sausage because we had to wait a bit because it was busy but we weren't bothered about the wait! Would defiantly recommend this quirky hotel to anyone. Thanks for a fab stay!

Just had an amazing couple of days here to celebrate my sons wedding to his beautiful girl. Everything about it has been just lovely .... the staff the service the food and the place itself is gorgeous. The wedding in the Orangery was idyllic and the restaurant looked stunning .... superb food .... the cake was amazing ... can’t fault it at all. 100% perfect in every way, I would sooooo recommend it xx

I went here twice recently, once with my husband, sat out in the sun one afternoon sipping wine and eating scallops very relaxed, then again recently with my daughter to eat one evening and listen to jazz, it was a really lovely experience, the food was exquisite I recommend the Dover sole! The garden is so pretty, the staff attentive all night the Manor selectively quirky.

I have holidayed all over the world and in many 5* resorts but my first impression of the Hermitage took my breath away as did 30 min in my own personal sauna and hot tub. Recommended by me. The food was excellent as always when I have visited and the friendly staff make for a very enjoyable stay.

Honestly the best customer service I have ever experienced in this country! The suite was spotless, the food was out of this world but the friendliness, professionalism and assertiveness of the staff was admirable! It is expensive but I would much rather have quality over quantity!

Great stay last night in the Bellagio. Friendly staff and great service at the hotel and at the restaurant. Meal was, as usual, excellent! Our favourite small hotel after many visits over the past 18 years. Thanks to all the team there

Fabulous place! Food is great, good menu choice. Bread is amazing and complimentary sausages at the bar are a nice touch.

Fabulous over night stay. Warm friendly easy check in. Stayed in the Shang Ri La room, beautiful. Coffee making facilities complimentary drinks in the mini fridge 👌. Nothing too much trouble.

The evening meal and breakfast were both superb, as was the service.

First visir here, will not be the last!

A recommendation from a shop owner in Thirsk and what a beautiful di new we had.

Could fault nothing at all the staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was to die for mussels to start lobster for mains and we shared an asiette of deserts the restaurant itself has a host of memrobelia hung from the ceiling and walls very quirky but very clean also we loved it and will be back we only had one night away from home in Ramsbottom but we will be back x. Me and my partner stayed here last night in the Bardola lodge and it was amazing. It's was spotless, the bed was comfy and the hot tub was brilliant. The man who showed us to our lodge was really friendly and polite. Breakfast was lovely and staff were great. The only draw back about our stay was the main meal in the evening. I had the fish and chips off the specials and it was incredibly greasy I did let staff know but nothing was done. My partner had the halibut said it was lovely but very small portion. Apart from that the starter and puddings were lovely. Will definitely be back again to stay next year

Wanted to try eating here for a long time, finally got round to it today, we booked a table for 13:30, due to traffic we were 5 minutes late, we rang ahead to explain and apologise and the lady on the phone was quite short and a little rude. We arrived and were shoved in a corner, despite plenty of available room in the wider restaurant, possibly because we had our three children with us, we were constantly rushed through the whole process which to be honest ruined it. The food was nice but service left a lot to be desired. I took the children to use the toilet when the desert menu was offered, the waiter hounded my husband to make a decision despite him explaining twice where I was and that he wanted to wait. They were preparing for a wedding but maybe giving a family 30 minutes to choose and eat is perhaps foolish and the booking shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

Time for a refurb! We’ve been many times and stayed in many of the themed rooms and ate some of the most amazing food there, but yesterday was extremely disappointing! We arrived to a near empty restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and told to sit at a table around the corner from the bar. When we sat down, we noticed slug trails on the carpet under our table and at least 2 flies doing their best to irritate the hell out of us. Even though the restaurant didn’t appear to have many diners, it took a while for us to be serviced. Being British of course, we didn’t complain, just sucked up the worst they could throw at us. The food when it came was ok, but not the excellent cuisine we’d grown accustomed to there. Oh, and there was a damp, musky odour in our particular corner! One can only assume my lack of a Range Rover or Bentley had something to do with it, even though my cash was the same as everybody else’s. Needless to say, I’ll be avoiding it like the plague until they refurb and hire more empathetic staff. Except the little French waitress who was quite sweet and happy to help as much as the other arrogant staff would let her.
