NOW OPEN - Barbecue, Cocktails & Craft Beer in The Hub, Milton Keynes. We can't wait to see you :-D
first ventured to craft and cleaver Saturday for a girly breakfast. Was serverd by the amazing Charlie who well and truly looked after us! Both service and food was on point #sauagetodiefor
Returned again Monday for another girly catch up 'gossip' this time served by the fantastic Mark & David. These guys were totally fabulous, we were well and truly looked after, the customer service was second to none (management you have a fab team) food was great and the cocktails went down a treat š.
Keep up the brilliant work, can't wait to come back xx
Wow what a fantastic evening. A group of us from my running club the Redway Runners went to Craft & Cleaver last night to sample some of the delightful food they serve there, we had our own host called Charles, he was fun, attentive, the food was served beautifully presented and so so yummy. I couldnāt sample the fabulous arrays of different flavour Gins they serve there as I was driving but had a sip of everyone elseās ļæ½ and my favourite was the rhubarb and ginger served with rose petals.
As for the food we were lucky enough to sample 10 or 11 different dishes and they were all presented beautifully and tasted fab & Charles did a great job of letting us know what the dishes were as they were served to us one by one there were around 20 of us at three different tables we were all served our food hot and quick I cannot in any way fault the staff at the kitchen or serving it is not easy to serve 11 different food to a large group and they were awesome so bravo for that. ļæ½ļæ½
I was very cheeky and asked if we were getting deserts it wasnāt part of the plan but Charles let me have a sample of one of the deserts they serve there donāt know what it was called but Marshmallow, chocolate & caramel was involved, very yummy, thank you Charles.
The restaurant has a very unique and friendly atmosphere and I loved the decor.
I certainly recommend it to anyone planning a big or small celebration to arrange to have it here, you are sure the get a fantastic friendly & fast service and you will have an awesome evening spent with good food & drinks.
James Down & Paul OāGrady well done for creating such a fantastic eatery and for your innovative and delicious menu, will be visiting again soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.
We went as a family of 4 for dinner last night and we will definitely be back.
Food was fabulous and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The cocktails were great too. You deserve to do well.
We loved the food. Chipotle prawns to share and then a combo meal. 2 meats and 2 sides. We went for the pulled pork & buttermilk fried chicken with chips & slaw. Great food and great waiter Charles ļæ½ļæ½
We had such a lovely meal! Food was amazing all round and comparable to American BBQ that weāve eaten in Texas. We will definitely be coming again, this will be a firm favourite of ours for sure. Canāt wait to try the cocktails next time! My only suggestion - wet wipes or something similar for the ribs ļæ½ļæ½
The food is simply delicious!
Combine that with a cocktail menu I could happily spend my Sunday afternoons working through and youāre on to a winner!
Great atmosphere and the service is always spot on; weāll be back again and again...no doubt!!
Our server Mark was very welcoming from the moment we sat down, he sat at our table to take our order, spoke about how excited and proud he was to work for Craft & Cleaver, and talked us through the menu- we were excited from the moment we saw the menu! He was attentive and most apologetic when the fish taco I ordered was out of stock- this really didnāt bother me as I chose the chicken taco instead- delicious!
Seriously recommend coming here, the chicken wings are amazing...mac and cheese went down well with the kids! Thank you! (Weāll be back!!- for that fish taco!)
Mark our waiter was absolutely fantastic. Couldnāt do enough to help especially when I was being fussy and difficult. He and he chef went out of their way to create me a special desert due to being sold out of the chocolate pot. The food was lovely, drinks were great and the service was absolutely perfect. Couldnāt make a single fault!
Great venue and definitely worth a visit. Really impressed with the whole experience. Reasonably priced drinks and excellent food. Staff are absolutely great and encourage you to have a good night. Beth and Jamie looked after us and they where absolutely great at making us all feel relaxed and they looked after all of our requirements and made an effort to engage with everyone.
Would definitely recommend!
First things first. What a menu. Great blend of amazing barbecue meats, burgers and grilled items and an incredibly inventive and varied cocktail selection. I had the pit beast burger and what a burger it was. Piled high with stunning patties sweet smoky brisket and succulent pork. Plus 50/50 fries are something that everyone should be doing! Special mention has to be made for our waiter (sorry for not getting his name) for zoning in on anyone having any allergies before taking our order and after he discovered that I had a nut allergy he took me through a detailed breakdown sheet of allergens on each dish on the menu. Really impressive stuff. I would plan another trip to MK just to go to this place again.
Awesome place. I've read a lot of reviews of people complaining about the experience. No clue what the hell they were talking about.
Had a nice burger, probably one of the largest I've seen, but don't let the size fool you, it was amazing.
Lot's of beers, something for everybody, even if you drink Verdant and Cloudwater you can still find something good.
The staff is kind, nice and polite, I don't think they could have done anything more to welcome me.
Also, I was not served by Mark who seems like a nice chap :))
1st visit to craft & cleaver if you like barbecue this place is awesome wife & i had squid to start . Lovely. Then she had chicken in a waffle. I had ribs & brisket with 2 sides . . Thank you mark for looking after us . 5 star food & 5 star service.
We loved the steam punky vibe and the staff were really friendly! Great range of cocktails and mix and match food options. Nice halloumi, mozzarella and sweetcorn fritters to start, but they needed something to dip into. Great mac n cheese side, just the right portion size. Fab ribs, wings and chicken, although brisket could have been juicier. Overall though, very tasty and would come again. Best panko onion rings ever!
Had a good breakfast here last week. Mark our waiter was excellent - seriously top notch customer service especially when my initial brunch choice of ox cheek proved too spicy for me. This was swiftly switched up for waffles with bacon with no fuss and at no extra charge. My only SLIGHT criticism would be I thought that the portion size for the price of my dish was in my opinion a little on the small side. A huge waffle with only two rashers of streaky bacon and a drizzle of maple syrup for Ā£7.95. Personally I would recommend serving the waffle with four rashers of streaky bacon and maybe adding a little jug of the syrup to the side of the plate as well. I think this would give diners more bang for their buck - the mark up on the dish as it stands must be huge and you'd still make a healthy profit by making the above amendments. That said I would still recommend this place. My partners "pitmasters breakfast" looked amazing.
Firstly, itās great to see an independent in the Hub rather than the usual chain restaurants. Atmosphere, decor, drinks and service all very good. We were served by a friendly guy called Mark, who made us feel very welcome and looked after. The food was just ok (we shared the meat platter and found it quite dry, especially the burnt ends) but everything else made up for it.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they were apparently short staffed last night but it was pretty bad!
We arrived at 7.30pm which was when our table was booked for and was told it wasn't ready. It wasn't that busy but we were happy to get a drink at the bar.
The bar staff were so slow we had to just laugh, it took 20 minutes to get a beer and they all looked really miserable.
When we were sat down at 8pm we ordered and our waiter was really nice, fun and chatty. I think he is the only reason they're not getting a 1*
They forgot to put through my starter order and we didn't get our main meal until 9.30pm!
I actually had to call the waiter over and point out that there were dishes piling up on the pass that had been sat there for over 10 minutes. They sat there alot longer after too. People around us were all complaining too.
The food was nice! The pulled pork was a bit fatty but the squid starter, the jalapeno sausages and the corn was the highlights! The Mac and cheese was a bit watery for our liking and the dirty rice was a bit plain.
I think we will come again to see if we just got a bad night. The food was nice!
We booked on line & was really looking forward to our evening , waited about 1 hour for our drinks & likewise for our meal , but we got a free round of drinks š· because only one person serving in bar , waitress was lovely though
Waited 20 minut3s just for drink orders only to be told that drinks should be ordered from the bar. Food wasn't hot. Was obviously just reheated. Wings and burnt ends were very very salty, starters and gin and tonic were about Ā£10 each. Condiments served in little paper cups like mcdonalds.
Visited here last night for my sisters birthday, table was booked in advance but when we arrived the table was not ready nearly after 20 minutes of waiting and no update given I went over and asked about our table to be told they didnāt know we was here, food was bad fatty ribs service very poor
