Cragwood Country House Hotel

Fantastic hote. Staff very helpful. Food out of this world. Rooms superb. Highly recommend.

This was a a star experience from start to finish. The hotel is located right on the edge of beautiful Lake Windermere. There's plenty of space for beautiful walks around the grounds surrounding this historical hotel. You can make it all the way down to the lake. A lake view room is highly recommended. It is so dark at night there's no need to close curtains. This means you can wake up naturally to the sunrise each morning. Tip: Room 4 appears to have the best views. The food is one of the show stopping features. We pre-booked for both dinner and breakfast. That is absolutely the right decision. Robbie was looking after us for dinner. His service was outstanding and amazing. The four course dinner was superb. Vegetarians are well catered for at both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts I've eaten! Great job everyone involved in looking after us during our stay.

Lovely hotel had a fabulous weekend for a wedding. Staff so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Best food we've had at a hotel ever.

Beautiful setting and scenery. The room was very well appointed and had everything you'd expect. The communal areas and lounges, particularly in the old part of the hotel are gorgeous and have a wonderful atmosphere. The staff really made you feel welcome, and nothing was a problem. I'll definitely be going back.

This place is beautiful! The hotel itself is incredible with amazing staff. The gardens are impressive and so peacefully. And even they say pet friendly, they really do mean it! Can't wait to come back again and spend a little more time exploring this beautiful area.
