What an amazing place.



Dave and I booked to have our wedding reception here with the ceremony at the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth.

Verity and Steve have been awesome with excellent communication throughout the past year and a half, answering questions quickly and providing advice where needed.

I was told by many suppliers, from wedding dress to the cars, that I've been an incredibly easy going bride. Although I appreciate Verity and Steve are used to a Bridezilla, or even Groomzilla �, I certainly hope we were easy to deal with.



We arrived Friday and was greeted by a lovely member of staff.

The set up of the reception room was done perfectly and we were given full access to decorate as we wanted to.



I was permitted to leave my dress and the bridesmaid dresses in the honeymoon suite over night, where we also got ready on the morning of the wedding.



Three lovely ladies attended from the onsite spa to do the makeup for me and the bridesmaids. Sorry, I can't remember their names, but such lovely ladies, two doing the make up while one was in training so I invited her to observe. I had a good laugh with these lovely lasses who were professional and friendly.



The reception was ran beautifully by Verity and Steve and the staff were professional and friendly. The whole afternoon and evening ran very smoothly.



We had an amazing day and can't thank Verity, Steve and the team enough.

What a fantastic place! A large group of us were here for my partners 40th birthday and it couldn't have been better. The venue is absolutely stunning, the rooms are beautiful and so many of the group commented on how comfy the beds are. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their weekend. All the staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish. Verity was great at helping me to organise everything. We had a cake drama (it fell apart!) and the staff were so quick to help and did a great job at recreating it. Both the children and adults had a fantastic time. We would certainly recommend Cranberries Hideaway!

We stayed for a girly spa weekend, the owners and their staff went above and beyond for us, emailing back and forth and confirming everything to make sure our weekend was perfect. the treatments were amazing and fantastic value for money, the staff were very professional but adapted to our senses of humour appropriately. Poor girls � we had a light lunch which was delicious and exceptionally presented. The facilities were lovely in a beautiful setting. Our rooms were decorated to a high standard and extremely comfortable. All in all we had a brilliant weekend and we will be making this a yearly trip for us all. Xx

We got married at Cranberries Hideaway in September and it was wonderful!! Steve, Verity and the rest of the team were brilliant, so helpful getting us all organised and the day ran like clockwork. We had just over a hundred guests who all loved it and enjoyed themselves so much, it was a perfect day. Cranberries is an excellent venue for weddings, we loved the fact that a lot of our guests were able to stay in the beautiful rooms on offer which meant people could really relax and make the most of the whole weekend. Truly can’t thank everyone at Cranberries enough for making it the most wonderful day of our lives.

We booked for the January joy,and what a joy it was ... thankyou both we had an amazing treatment,we felt very relaxed & were looked after from beginning to end ... we will be returning for more treatments soon .... once again thank you �

Recently got married at Cranberries and it was perfect. All the staff were incredible and made the day even more special. Well organised and the food was great.

Accommodation was incredible and catered for every need of our guests.

Steve and Verity were on the ball with everything and were extremely helpful in every aspect. I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue and for a getaway.

My friends and I have been to the spa twice in the last six weeks for a afternoon of pampering and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's relaxing, we were well looked after and it was so lovely not having to rush.

The treatments (back massage and facial) were amazing and definitely much appreciated.

We will be back soon I'm sure.

I went with my sister and friend for a spa day, staff are really friendly and nice between us we had three massages, two facials and a pedicure. The facilities are fantastic, clean and well presented. The massages were good the facials and pedicure good it was really relaxing and enjoyable. We had use of the hot tub and sauna whilst waiting between treatments and also the steam showers to wash. The food was a bit hit and miss but to be fair to the Cranberries our treatments ran over time and the site was busy preparing for a wedding so I think it had been cooked to order and then sat and reheated because we were a touch late, had we been on time and eaten at the time we were meant to I think the food would have been spot on. Nice touch with the complimentary prosecco and we had a really good time and would definitely return.

I got married here 2 weeks ago and it was perfect. Steve and Verity made it the most perfect day and had everything covered. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Accommodation is fantastic. Would throughly recommend this venue.

Having spent a day at Cranberries with my partner, as a well deserved break from working. I can say that both Bryony and Natalie, our therapist, were fantastic. Taking into consideration the building work happening at the time they were professional and friendly. Small hiccup with lunch but nothing to ruin the day. A relaxing break that I would be happy to recommend.

Got back yesterday from my hen weekend where 19 of us celebrated friday to Sunday! we stayed in the milking parlour and had the most amazing time everything from our arrival to the many activities we took part in were unbelievable... The staff couldn't do enough, Big thanks to Steve and the guys on the blind driving.. whom literally let me get attacked my many hens from every angle when things started to get very stupid and out of control!



We ate in the pub on the Saturday night (which the owner of cranberries also owns) and the food was amazing and the service was good to such a big group of women on a Saturday night. Taxi service was fab and were booked and they ensured we could get to and from the pub...



Accomodation and amenties were brilliant and the beds were soo comfy... showers powerful and hot and plenty of kitchen equipment.



We're desperate to come back and stay again and all feeling very depressed to be back to normality and away from cranberries! Rosie (maid of honour) wants to come back to work for you guys...

Absolutely amazing place!! Me and 14 girls went on a hen weekend from 10th -12th April and we all had a amazing time.



The staff are so kind and helpful especially verity who has helped me since August last year to make this special hen weekend perfect for the my best friend and all the hen party.



The wagon shed was lovely and the views amazing!



The weekend was full of fun from jumping into the hot tub to the hot buff waiter we had for the evening



A pamper day which was arranged by a lovely lady called Jessica who went out of her way to making sure everything was ready for everyones arrival.



which was followed by horse ridding and a vintage tea party everyone enjoyed!



We had the best photograph ever!! Ben Lee who I would recommend to anyone! He was so much fun and really made the night special for everyone and very entertaining we can't wait to see the photos!!



We also all enjoyed a murder mystery night that was full of laughter and fun.



I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

A wonderful place to stay, our room was lovely, staff friendly an helpful. Great food in the restaurant an had a fab time at my nieces wedding. Will be back I highly recommend.

We were in an executive twin room although classed as self catering we had no cooking facilities whatsoever, had we known this we would have pre-ordered the breakfast , the invoice should say “room only” , fortunately there was a terrific cafe 1/2 mike away on the A35 which catered for our needs. As for staffing we arrived just after 6 pm so had to ring the number on the board and fair enough Bel was there in a few minutes. Message to Cranberries :- Please amend invoice to “room only” to avoid future disappointments!

Beautiful cottage however extremely let down by the service. No staff around at all to help with questions. We stayed for a hen do (13 of us) and arranged afternoon tea with them. It was basically stale sandwiches and one pot of tea with no one checking we needed re-fills or anything for 2 hours (this cost us over £200)! When wanting to speak to the Manager about this we were told that he was not around and that they couldn’t deal with problems until he was back in the morning. The morning came and he was still MIA, wouldn’t answer any of our phone calls and didn’t get back to our messages. Not only did he ignore and let down 13 guests but also would have put us in danger should we need anything safety wise. I would highly suggest that you find nice accommodation elsewhere as the service will ruin your stay. What’s the point in staying somewhere nice if you feel ignored, uncared for and simply dissapointed?

We hired this venue for our wedding based on the stunning view the venue had to offer. What our money paid for was a traumatic 24 hour experience due to the disorganisation and lack of facilities that we were not made aware of before our booking.

Due to the forecast of rain on our booking we travelled to the Cranberries to schedule an in-door back up plan as we had originally planned for an outside ceremony.

We were told not to worry and that it wouldn't rain, but if it did we could marry in the grand house that is situated on the complex. When asked we were informed we could not view the house but to look through the window and return the following day to set up for our wedding.

The trauma commenced when one hour before guests were arriving to check in to their accommodation at the cranberries, we were told that the arrangement was now not possible as our wedding party was too big (despite the guest list not changing in size). Therefore the suggestion put to us by the staff was to cut our guest list by one third or consider marrying in the function room available.

The function room we had hired for our wedding breakfast greeted us with heavily stained carpets smelling of stale alcohol which when challenged I was told does not get cleaned and if I was dissatisfied I would need to find my own carpet to over lay across it.

The second option informed by the events co-ordinator as she unprofessionally put her leg up on a chair whilst she swore about the unfortunate situation, was to consider in the remaining last hour of trading, to travel to pound land and buy shower curtains to shelter the ceremony pergola to give us hope for our original outside wedding.

Despite being very distressed I never received an apology during the event or a follow up.

The accommodation had no milk or top up of water in our room despite the two-night stay stipulated by the venue. The towels were very old and frayed and not replaced. The room had cobwebs and dead flies at the windows.

First impression of the venue when we booked it was it looked spectacular, but when you look closer unfortunately the venue lacks adequate maintence leaving a very tired venue with no personal touches for your stay.

It lacks empathetic, genuine and organised professional staff with a take it or leave it attitude.

Even when I expressed my concerns and clearly stated we expected a response the owner is unable to acknowledge my complaint or even apologise after waiting one month for a response. I am not one to give such negative responses usually but a service like this can not be ignored!

We are left embarrassed that we brought our friends and family to experience such a venue with lack of attention at a very ‘luxury’ price.

Sent emails back and forth to organise a wedding viewing as we live in Bristol. Arranged with the management a time and date for us to arrive.

We turned up excitedly as this is the first venue we’ve viewed since getting engaged to find no-one there and no-one is answering the phone.

Eventually we find a man and let him know we’re here to look at the venue. We were asked if this had been organised prior to our arrival - and after we confirmed this with him we were just told to have a look around by ourselves. Also informed that it was a bit messy because they’d had a party the night before. Now I don’t mind but we were told to come at that time!

No-one to go through the wedding package with us either so literally no point driving all the way from Bristol for a 5 minute visit the same as looking at their website.



Horrendous customer service - we left feeling very deflated and sad �

I Visited Cranberries a month ago with 3 other ladies. Beautiful setting & the rooms appeared to be high spec however it was felt by myself & my colleagues that Cranberries lacked several management structure . On arrival we were given very little information and found ourselves constantly asking questions which should of been answered in a simple clear introduction to Cranberries. The beauticians were pleasent young ladies but again lacked management guidance . Our treatments ran late and we had to go and find a beautician after waiting nearly an hour . The massage was interrupted throughout by the beatification constantly opening & closing a door, I am assuming to get products / oil that should be on hand and not one of us was asked to read & sign sny form of paper work prior to any treatment .

There was a fault with the heating in one of our rooms as the maximum temperature could not be adjusted and our second room had a running tap that would not turn off , a member of staff who was about to go off duty told us to open a window to reduce the heat and we were told not to use the tap !

After 5.30 pm the only contact with any staff member is via a answer phone until the following day. My colleague who is a regular visitor to spa’s in the uk has sent a letter & a email not of complaint but to give feedback of our Cranberries experience and to no suprise has not received a response as again that would be down to management. Cranberries spa could be a absolute gem with a good conscientious manager in place until then don’t expect too much .

Definitely not luxury or hideaway. Which is a shame, as the place showed such promise. Do not come here if you are expecting a peaceful place to recharge you're batteries. Hen parties and wedding receptions, do not make a peaceful break away! Shabby, noisey, hot room and customer service none existent. Very disappointed and glad to be home, for a good night's sleep. Perhaps people who stay here mid week might have a better time, as long as they are not staying in rustic 1,2,3 rooms worse than a travel lodge.
