This great university helped to discover the strength within me. Coming from an oil and gas industry background and was able to make a mark in Thermal Power courtesy of the elegance in the dissemination of knowledge of the kind from Prof Riti Singh and Prof Pericles Pillidis among other erudites was really remarkable. The serene environment, green vegetation of Cranfield, the well-maintained air fields and well-equipped sports hall made the stay very relaxing. Supersonic wifi bringing the world to my doorstep and the trick of watching a live football match on my laptop was the bomb! I can go on and on! Sometimes I sleep and thought its still Lanchester hall. How sweet that was.

User

Thank you to the Women in Leadership Association for a fantastic conference today. I attended the Championing Diversity Conference and it was a great lineup of speakers. I hope to attend next year's event and more!!

User

Loved my time at Cranfield. First interaction was attending a Masters short course for aerospace which was fantastic for that technical content. This led me to undertake my MBA at Cranfield School of Management, giving me a fantastic year from both a personal and professional stand point. It has had a huge influence on the years afterwards. Would

recommend into be on the short list if thinking of enhancing your career, the staff are first class and really want to produce the best of the students and research.

If you’ve made up your mind to build your career in supply chain field, and been ready for an intense study for one year, I recommend Cranfield University.

I will be joining Cranfield university next year for a Pre-Masters in engineering.

In preparation for my MSc in Computational and software techniques in Engineering.

An advise about funding options ?.

User

I studied Aircraft Design. My time there was excellent, very supportive and, when it appeared I could not fund my second year, they paid my fees!

They provided all the help I needed when I stumbled over some subjects - a problem when I had not been in education for ten years. My lasy experience before that was day release HNC.

User

Hi.

I'm planning to do MSc in Aerospace Manufacturing or MSc in Airctaft Engineering.

Can anyone tell me how is the teaching and facilities over there and also the accommodation and the living cost.

It would be really grateful if anyone helps me out.

User

Cranfield is an inspirational place. So many interesting people to meet and discuss your work with. And a fabulous facility to make use of. The leadership over the recent period have made a significant difference and the arrival of the new aviation/aerospace facilities is already making a huge difference.

User

Cranfield is a life changing University. It has a special environment suitable for concentrating on studies and researches and the facilities available are very helpful. Cranfield gave me the opportunity to get in touch with people from different countries and different cultures. Although Cranfield is situated in a quite isolated area, but the student can easily reach the two nearby towns, Milton Keynes and Bedford, where lots of things are available like shopping malls, local markets and entertainment facilities, and train stations.

As an overall experience, I'm very glad I graduated from Cranfield University and I will always miss those days back there.

User

Cranfield changed my life. The one year that I spent there changed the way I think and I made friends for a life time. My horizons expanded, my intellectual curiosity was heightened and I learnt something new every single day. The amount of support offered by the teachers and the staff is excellent - specially for a foreign student who is out on her own. The doors of my teachers were always open and I loved the lively debates in our classes. Cranfield is one of the biggest turning points of my life and I owe all my success in my career and life to it. It has prepared me for the serious game of life and has taught me to keep my values intact. I love Cranfield and would highly recommend it to someone who is looking for a life learning experience. I did not know how high the brand value for Cranfield is. It has helped me to accelerate in my career and has provided me with opportunities that would have otherwise not been open to me.

One of the best universities on the globe, a leader in technology in Europe

The recent 9 month+ partial closure of its airfield has done the lighter half of the General Aviation industry some damage.

Due to the "full ATC" requirement, I'm afraid it hasn't given me confidence that this is a university that teaches good management or airfield management and can put it into practice.

User

The Festival of Flight yesterday was a bit of a letdown. The Open Doors Tours were fully booked within half an hour leaving a lot of people who had bought tickets feeling very let down. The air show was a bit disappointing due to the low cloud base. The first display was amazing with a model aircraft flying in sync with a full sized one, but the rest of the show was marred with planes not being able to reach Cranfield. If there's a next time, perhaps hold it earlier in the Summer. Aware that it tied in with the start of the Academic Year but not a good day.

User

I totally agree with the guy below, the room was like an oven, and it wasnt during a heatwave, I cant believe the rooms had no means of escape in the event of a fire, as all the windows in the rooms and corridors where sealed units and the building was covered in wooden cladding!

User

If you want to have a nice stay do not choose Stringfellow Hall accommodation. It is true it is the newest building but if you are lucky enough to live in a 4th floor and your room is oriented to east/west, your stay in summer will be definitely a nightmare.

The main problem is that the window is a fixed glass from the bottom to the ceiling of the room. The ventilation area which can be opened is just ridiculous. I cannot sleep for more than 5.30am because the room is a completely oven.

Besides, we have asked the manager of Stringfellow for a solution and her answer was just "that this building is not designed for summer". Incredible. Several people we have made a complaint to Accommodation services and we have received answers like "please turn off the heating" or just have been ignored. It is amazing how they care of their customers. Avoid Stringfellow Hall.

User

I'm sure the university is far superior to the air show we endured yesterday. Granted the freezing wind didn't help but the poor quality of refreshment options, the well intentioned but inept car park attendants, the incessant, hyperbolic commentator all paled beside the lack of planes... When the bloke whittering away announced that we were about to see something we'd never seen before and then we witnessed the 40%er shadowing the plane we were not surprised to be disappointed. I've only been to one previous air show and I've seen this before. My partner is a veteran air show attender and he could probably describe it with his eyes closed. Nothing made the M1 journey worth it.

User

I spent a nice in Cranfield but only thanks to the friends I made. The academic level is a joke, the cost is incedible (£9000 to copy/paste some google results) - and I do not wish to talk about the lessons because there is nothing to say as there is nothing to learn. The career service is almost inexistant, and the last point concerns the teachers feedback on the exams: no real advice, no explanation about the mark, nobody knows who corrected the paper and why something was wrong.

I did the MSc "Environmental Water Management", and I hope the others MSc are of better quality - if not, with the Brexit (so no more Erasmus funding) Cranfield Uni will have big troubble attracting students...

User

I did 8 modules at Cranfield University 7/8 years ago. That went very well, there are some extraordinary teachers there, I was happy with the modules content and as a part timer student it gave me plenty of flexibility. Earlier this year, when I asked for my diploma, I was told I had 3 modules left to pay! This is 6/7 years after I completed them!!! I had paid it all at the time, but as Cranfield doesn’t give you any sort of payment confirmation and the bank doesn’t allow you to access your transactions after 5 years, I was stuck! After months of discussions leading nowhere, I decided this just didn’t worth my time and paid it AGAIN... they have told me, on the phone, they got the money. Since then (~6months ago) I have been sending countless emails asking for confirmation of payment and for my diploma. No one has replied to my email!! This is extremely upsetting and I wonder how can this be legal!

If anyone from this fb page can help that would be much appreciated and for any new students, hope you can learn from my very painful experience!
