The tea plant is inedible for elephants so when they come to a tea plantation it is like arriving at the edge of a desert. To get to plants they can eat means crossing the tea plantation. Going round is not something elephants do, so barging straight through is how it goes, trampling tea along the way. . . That's how it would be if the clever tea growers hadn't created elephant motorways through the plantations. As it is, we'll be singing songs and quietly crossing our fingers as the elephants pass by, leaving us to go about our day, tea plants intact, ready to pick. The Crazy Elephant Coffee & Tea House brand takes its inspiration from this cheerful story and is, well, all about the lack of crazy elephants. . . And, of course a great cuppa.
