so after reading all the bad reviews of creams I was a little nervous about coming, however I’m glad I did. It was great. The service, the food, everything was great. I don’t understand the bad reviews at all? As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by a young lady with blonde hair, quiet small and she sat me down and told me to come and order as the till once I was ready. So after looking at the menu I went up and ordered , I was told it would come out in around 10 minutes but it came out within 5 minutes. I ordered the Oreo waffle and omg it was delicious. I will be coming back and Thankyou to the lovely staff

User

Pretty nervous coming to this place after hearing all the bad reviews about it but I was craving a dessert after a nandos with the lads, so we went in about 8 and it’s was packed but we got settled down and a young blond girl who was working on the left side cooking waffles was amazing no stop work from her she nail the waffle oreo one I had it was beautiful think her name was Becky, she did say it was going to be a wait as how busy it was but after 10 minuets my food came out hot and tasty will be returning here again in the future ( thanks Becky for a lovely experience)

User

Loved it food was amazing, also the service I received from ur there worker cj made the experience even better as he was so polite and good with my child. The deserts are like heaven I would recommend it highly to other and definitely be going again

User

Came in a few weeks ago. We were served by Luke. Such a polite, friendly and helpful member of staff, as we are not from Birmingham really appreciated his time. Waffles were ace. Credit to Creams.

User

After reading the bad reviews I was abit nervous about going however really fancied a dessert. My cookie dough was lovely and the short blonde girl who served me (think she said her name was Becky) was lovely, welcoming and delivered us great service! Will be returning!

User

Stunning desserts & huge portions. The smell of sweet waffles hits you as soon as you walk in. Friendly service too!

Not too sure that the loyalty scheme works; none of my friends seem to be able to collect any stamps...but they’re relaunching it soon I think.

Waffles comes with some ice cream - they need to give you a spoon for this, as they only ever give you a knife & fork.

Great place for a treat!

User

I'm in two minds about what I think of Creams Birmingham.

The staff do their job at a basic level. That means you get shown to a table, and told how to order. When you head to the counter and order you are greeted by "Table Number". No hello, no smile, no courtesy. You are treated as a mild inconvenience to the colleagues day. I say this as a regular customer and not just a one off visit.

The food itself (the important part!) I have never had a problem with. I've always enjoyed it and never had to wait too long. Gelato tastes good. Waffles are delicious.

I have an issue with the fact that the Bubble Pop Waffle machine has apparently not been working on my last 5 visits to this branch over the course of the last two and a half months. Is it really broken or just a pain to clean?

The team in Birmingham need to take tips from the Chatham Dockside branch, where the experience I have had on several different occasions is second to none. They are always friendly and even ask if everthing is ok with the food and say goodbye as you leave. Oh, and their Bubble Pop Waffle Machine always works!

User

The food was lovely however the service was horrendous! Three of us went, first dessert came after 20 mins, 2nd after 30 mins and 3rd after 45 mins. Ordered three drinks, cup of tea took 20 mins, tap water and cup of hot water came 20 mins after that. They got my order wrong, I asked for raspberry ice cream and got raspberry ripple. They got my moms crepe wrong. Not even particularly busy, only 9 orders on the screen at time of ordering and they stopped taking orders after ours, turning people away.

User

This place don’t even deserve 1 star!

Me and my friends walked in at 10:45, wanting to get an ice cream to go and we’re greeted by a rude staff member rudely saying closed! I explained th door said the cafe closed at 11, she just said closed again in a rude tone!

Please do not say you close at 11pm when clearly you are closed to customers before then!

And please train your staff in customer services! That way you might have a few more customers on a Friday evening!

User

The service at this present moment @ 21:56 pm on 21st Feb is ABSOLUTELY Appalling!!!!

Arrived @ 21:00 pm, did not manage to order till 21:20pm, order arrived and was incorrect, I was told to just ‘accept it’ as they are very busy, I refused as that is NOT what I ordered or paid for! Remade but not cooked properly and when a member of my party went to complain they were’ shouted, repeatedly shouted at’ in front of the entire shop and told ‘get into the que and wait!!!!

What????!!!!! Is this customer service???????

The state of the shop is absolutely appalling! The tables have NOT been cleaned for the last hour!! When customers arrive there is literally NO where to sit!

The owner of this store needs to seriously seriously look at what is going on here! Your letting down the ‘Creams’ name, your staff need to learn manners and etiquette. You are in a PRIME location within Birmingham so plan accordingly!

Loyal Creams customer but I and many will NOT be returning to this store

Will be shared with Birmingham Mail and wider

Terrible place, poor food and horrendous service. Went yesterday for first time with my partner, was really looking forward to it as the one in slough was lovely. We ordeded two desserts, cake and aa crepe. It took about 20 mins for crepe to come and then I waited for ny cake. No sign of it so I asked the waitress and she went to ask. She then came back and asked what my dessert was and I told her she then comes back and asks if I have a receipt like I was lying about the order. Turns out they forgot about the cake, eventually it came. Was very average, probably tasted better from Asda.

My partners crepe was awful. Dry as anything, looked more like a chapatti than a crepe. I went to the till to explain and ask for a refund. The manager came and I explained asked for the refund. She had some right attitude on her telling me that everything is on time and made properly. I explained it wasn't and still sehe5 refused a refund and told me to call my partner. So he went over and again she was saying a load of nonsense to him, refusing a refund and just being rude. I went over again, having to take my baby too, as I didn't want my partner to be made out like he was being angry to a woman. I asked him what was going on and hr explained that she still wont refund and instead said we could get another dessert when we come again. I explained that clearly we wouldn't be coming again. I then asked if I could speak to the boss and she said she was the boss. I then asked if she owned the place as im aware it is a franchise, she said she obviously didnt own it, still being rude. I again told her that we werent trying to be rude to her, we just simply wanted a refund on the crepe, even though the cake was very average.

Finally she agreed to give a refund, but then asks me if I have the receipt as she would have to look through orders, lazy management really. She then finally refunded, and we left 5 mins later.

Terrible manager, thinks because she can speak with attitude that people will be scared to ask for refunds are speak back to her. She had the nerve to tell me that no one has ever complained and everything is always perfect. From just reading other reviews today, clearly others have complained and had bad experiences. They need to get rid of her.

User

It's the worst company that I have ever worked for. They didn't pay me for 30 hours of work, after that I talked to the manager who said that I would get my outstanding money in next payout. Of course, I didn't get them. Talking with him was pointless because he did nothing. Ridiculous.

User

It has taken me so long to write on here as I have been waiting over a month for a reply about my complaints from the store manager, which I have only heard from the Creams head office manager. I visited on 30/04/2018 @ 18:15 I went and order the bubble pop waffle ultimate chocolate, I was told that the bubble pop waffle machine was not working but they could do it on a normal waffle which i was fine with. They asked f I wanted nuts on it which I declined. When the desserts arrived you could immediately smell nuts so I tried the 'milk chocolate sauce' which tasted like Nutella. I went and explaed this to MARTA who said the milk chocolate sauce does taste like nuts and that they dont do nutella sauce, I said that I wouldnt eat it as I dont like nuts which she replied what do you want me to do about it??? I said I would have a refund as I wont eat it, she then took me over to the yound lad working there and asked if he had used milk chocolate sauce or nutella, (after just being told that they did not do nutella sauce?!) Again Marta said I dont understand I dont know what you want me to do about it, so again I asked for a refund as I wont eat it. She then asked well wont you eat nuts or cant you eat nuts? She eventually agreed to give me a refund and then rolled her eyes as I walked away. Whilst I was getting my refund a group of three girls came up to the counter to order, as I walked away the lovely mirrored wall showed me that Marta thought it would be a good idea to roll her eyes again and laughed at me with the group of girls. After ten mins and my boyfriend was nearly finished she came over with the allergy sheets. Which is all good but milk chocolate sauce should not in anyway shape of form taste like nutella. She then offered me something else which I declined as I would not sit there eating on my own. After sending the complaint and chasing it up twice I have just recieved an email saying that after speaking to the manager they have said that it was milk chocolate sauce (so took there word for it) and they would not be doing anything else for me. I would never step in that place again and will advise anyone not to go in there.

Hi,

Last weekend I came over to your store with my husband. Travelling from London I got served by one of your colleagues his name is Gyaike for a transaction of £17.95. When handing over a £50 note I was appalled of the reaction by him! No apology straight away rejection of taking in a £50 note and no it was not fake at all. You have no sign anywhere in store that you do not take the specific note. Yet you had a sign up mentioning about minimum payment?

How does that make any sense ? Why don’t you accept the note? Not only that my husband made a complaint on your Facebook page. Your colleague had the nerve to private message my husband. Accusing him of what he thought my husband said. Where is your professionalism? Since when do colleagues handle situations like this themselves. It should be management. If nothing gets done about this I will be taking it further as it’s gotten out of hand. Having a worker contacting my husband over a situation which should’ve been dealt with by management or someone else above.

Ridiculous behaviour.

Had an awful experience here, there were only two other customers whilst I was here. We were ignored at the till, as members of staff were on their phones. The attitude of staff wasn’t acceptable and a simple smile will go a long way! My order came to the table and by the time my partners order came I had finished. We waited about half an hour at least in between my order and his.

User

Gone there twice now and even thought the deserts themselves are lovely there aren't worth the terrible service you have to put yourself through to get them! Had to wait 50 minutes last night for a banana split, asked them 3 times were it was to get brushed off and told finally they thought they had made it but hadnt, asked for a refund as this is a joke which we got but received no apology from any member of staff we spoke to and she even tried to blame us at one point! And we got the same service the first time we went there too, will never be visiting them again that's for sure!

User

Firstly came from London to Birmingham. Visited the Birmingham creams branch in Broad Street.

Upon ordering my dessert total came up to £17.95, I gave £50 note to cashier Gayaike, he rejected my payment because apparently they do not accept £50 notes. There is no sign or notice to state they don't accept that BUT have a notice for minimum card payment. When I questioned the cashier he said it's the owners decision but I argued to say where is the sign or notice for customers to see that. I am not happy with the service. When I asked if I can speak to a manager he told me there isn't one right now. How can any business run without any duty manager? Also money is money. It should be accepted if there is no notice. I will be posting my bad experience on Facebook Twitter and other social media as I am not a happy customer and has disappointed me due to money issues when there is no bloody notice for it.

User

Currently sitting in this place, my husband's cookie dough has come out, he has nearly finished. But no sign of my glass of water, a coffee and my sundae. Service is getting worse and worse. U would think bring all out together wont be returning

User

Awful service. Took them three attempts to get my friends order right. Then 20 minutes after ordering we get one of the two other deserts we ordered. Another ten minutes later we asked after the other one "banna split" we were told that 'due to the nature of the order it would come out at a different time'. Another five minutes go by we ask for a refund, told its not possible. So thats 35 minutes to cut some banana slices and put a couple of scoops in a bowl.

Absolute joke.

Don't waste your time or money.
