We saw the negative reviews but the kids were really desperate to go so we went along anyway. Really friendly and patient staff (we took 7 kids including two toddlers). Kids loved the food and we will be very happy to go back.

User

User

I tried this place for the first time on Monday 16/1/2017 when a friend introduced me to it and raved about how nice it was and I had to go and try it for myself and I agree with her the food was amazing generous portions friendly staff so I went back again the next day also , will be going back again next time I visit guilford

User

Had heard good reports, and our (early lunchtime) experience didn't disappoint. Not cheap, but the crêpe portions were generous and the service friendly and quick, in a fun and pleasant environment. We explained we were newbies, and our son was allowed to try some toppings before choosing. Was initially a little shocked that a babycino was billed at £2, but it was a big mug for a little person and presented just as nicely as a pukka coffee, so perfectly happy in the end! £20 for crêpes and hot drinks for three was worth every penny for an end-of-the-holidays treat.

User

Great service... amazing waffles... my children love it! I know they will want to come back again soon. Thank you

User

Brilliant service excellence experience lovely taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

User

Amazing banoffe crepes ..friendly staff ..i raccomended this place ..

User

Very nice place to spend the eve eating a dessert.

This said - half portions would be better :) the current portions are just too big.

It would also be good to be aware of what are people's different allergies. Gluten free options become quickly limited in the menu if there aee crushed waffles and cookies in every position on the menu.

User

Staff were friendly and kids played nicely near our table and no one got annoyed which was nice, staff said goodbye and we're pleasant to us all and managed to find us a table for 12. Only issue I had was the 3 families ordered separately but 1 after the other straight away, the food and drinks were brought out in such a miss mash, that once 1 child had finished the other had only just started so alot of us were bored waiting by the end. But it tasted fantastic which is a bonus and well worth the cost. Wish the ice-creams had a make your own choices avaliable too

User

Food was amazing! Not to badly priced but towards the end of the meal our 13 month old started crying which put the staff and some of the customers in a really bad mood as we got stared at for 5 minutes... So we left in a hurry. should be a sign on the door saying no children under 5!!

User

Went to Creams today, ordered x5 desserts and x5 drinks, all were delivered at the table at different times, the last being brought to the table a full 20 mins after the first dessert! It wasn't busy, yet all staff seemed more concerned with serving takeaways rather than customers sitting at tables. Complained, but all they could say was 'sorry', then brought the last of our drinks and desserts over 10 minutes later. As a family, we want to all eat at the same time...this didn't happen today! Won't be going back...really disappointed!

User

Never been before and unlikely I'll be back. Food was ok but the music was really loud, it was some kind of hardcore drum and bass, I couldn't hear my son talk to me and he was right beside me. When the colleague cleared our plates away he asked me if everything was ok, I said food was good but music was excessively loud, he just walked off. We where in there for approximately 30 minutes on Monday 28th August at 1:30/2pm. It genuinely put me off and we spent nearly £30 so not a great experience, maybe something to think about if you're wanting returning custom

User

A bit disappointed. I had a sundae for the first time in ages and wasn’t happy. My sundae of choice (hot and cold choc fudge volcano) has been rebranded into the hot choc fudge volcano and it’s become more expensive. It used to be £5.95 and you’d get one or two scoops of gelato with it (I can’t remember which flavours) - now it’s £7.45 and consists of chocolate fudge cake, soft serve ice cream, some fudge sauce and chocolate curls (along with a couple of wafers). I’m essentially paying £1.50 more for something I can make at home for £2.00 at most. Everything seems to have gotten smaller (along with it being more expensive) and it appears you now have to pay for the scoops of gelato that were once included, making a sundae that used to cost £5.95 become over £10. The ice cream is good, but it’s not worth over a tenner for one sundae. Me and my friends come all the time, but after last night we are considering taking our custom elsewhere.

When we booked our table of 14 for a birthday at Creams Guildford, we were under the impression that we would be contacted at the presence of any problems with our table. On arrival, we were greeted by a loud man behind the bar saying ‘no table, just ice cream to go’ in a blunt manner. Please note that, as I previously mentioned, we had no warning that there would be disruption to our table at any point prior to entering. After our confusion, he realised we were ‘the booking’ and said he’d sort us out. Sorting us out meant that we were all crammed onto a table in the corner of the restaurant, and told we could sit in and eat only ice cream. After viewing the ridiculous prices, at over 3 pound for two scoops of ice cream, a member of our party decided to order two scoops of cookie dough ice cream. He was told that they couldn’t because that is served in bowls and the bowls aren’t clean because of a problem with the water. Why an exception to the presentation couldn’t be made, and the ice cream couldn’t be served in one of the cardboard bowls, I don’t know. We promptly left after this. During our time, we faced terrible organisation, poor customer service, and no offer of any kind of compensation or apology, just a smaller menu with terribly expsensive prices. Will NOT be returning to this store. Ben and Jerry’s is on sale at Sainsbury’s for £2.50.

User

Our first experience here and we had been looking forward to this as a family outing.

On arrival there was a queue at the door where you were completely ignored by the staff.

Only after my partner approached a member of staff were we told a 15-20 minute wait.

After ordering and paying upfront for our food there was then a long wait for drinks, 2 coffees and a milkshake which all came out separately (I had finished my coffee before the other drinks came out)

Then the sundaes (all the same) again came out separately so much so that our son had finished his before ours came out... surely the whole point of eating out is to eat together???

When we complained the member of staff just laughed at us and walked off and started bitching to his colleague.

A premium price for a below average product and zero customer service. We will never go back....

User

Ordered our food and waited 30 minutes before I had to ask where it was. Was told there was a back log (it wasn't busy) but I saw the man on the till forgot to pass our order to the guys doing the cooking !

Very disappointed, would not recommend and won't be going back.

User

Even one star is more than they deserve.

1. Standing (twice) at the counter to order while staff completely ignored me & just continued washing up.

2. At least three staff and an almost empty restaurant, all staff chatting amongst themselves.

3. My crepe was (to describe politely) crap. So thin that I could barely see it. The sauce was thick and 'gloopy' and tasted awful.

4. When our order came, the dishes were almost slammed on the table.

5. The restaurant was dirty in places, tables not cleared and there was food on the floor.

6. No 'goodbye' or any acknowledgment when we left.

I was a mixture of upset and annoyed because I had booked this for my birthday to have lunch with a family member and left thinking I wished we had gone elsewhere.
