Hi, welcome to Milky-Bar!

We are doulas Rachel and Mandy, a hypnobirthing instructor and a breastfeeding peer supporter, working and supporting in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas in Essex.

Rachel set up Milky-Bar in 2011 after the birth of her 3rd baby. Having been to many baby and toddler groups we often hear mothers saying "If only I'd known. . . before I had my baby! ". Once on maternity leave from work, many pregnant women find it hard to meet others, and many don't have any friends with young children either. So Milky-Bar was set up as a friendly drop in for mums, from pregnancy throughout the journey into motherhood. Here you can meet other mums and chat to local doulas and breastfeeding peer supporters about all things mum related.

There are often visits, talks and demos from local professionals including midwives, osteopaths, breastfeeding consultants, hypnobirthing practitioners and leaders of local baby activities.

Set in Mandys home, there are plenty of toys to entertain the babies and older little ones, so come and have a cuppa whilst it's still warm! Oh and there's always cake!
