New! Cornish & Celtic, this "easy access" four seater recycled plastic picnic bench with all stainless fittings is designed & made in Cornwall. The"Celtic Knot Picnic Bench"from www.sturdi.co.uk is extremely low maintenance, very durable, eco-friendly, great value & even bears the resemblance of local slate. Looks like this could be the first of many. POA.
Another busy week with the installation of this 1.8m high 'Climbing Ramp Scrambler' into a primary school playground complete with rubber mulch surfacing. Designed & built in-house to outlast most other play equipment hence providing decades of low maintenance value. No splinters, no rot just good clean fun. Putting waste plastic to good use!

Another successful delivery of recycled plastic outdoor furniture made in-house. This time some planters with seats to bring a little pleasant greenery into a rather urban primary playground in East Hampshire. Very low maintenance. No rot or splinters & putting what was once waste plastic to good use.
Work in progress at a nearby Primary School, before the wet-pour soft surfacing goes down. A recent playground installation of durable recycled plastic & stainless steel play items manufactured in-house by Creative-wood. There'll never be any rot or splinters in those posts!
"It may not be the stairway to heaven," (the available means of getting there can be discussed & info provided!) However it is the latest www.creative-wood.co.uk project in progress. Designed & made in-house from layered birch ply it does produce a very pleasing sculptural form & is exceptionally rigid. With a stair width of 800mm this is suitable for a main domestic stair & not to be confused with narrow variants only suitable for access to a single room or loft spaces etc. Balustrade spindles & handrail still to be fitted.
Haven't posted for a while & this is one of the reasons. Busy making quality bespoke painted farmhouse style kitchen units with jointed oak board worktops. I love the deep rich colour.

The more relaxing way to enjoy alfresco dining with the "Sturdi Easy Access Four Seater Picnic Bench with Contoured Seats & Back" Here are some preview/workshop pic's of the latest Sturdi creation. After very positive feedback from customers of our eight seater picnic bench with similar seats we decided to make it available as a four seater for those who still like the comfort but perhaps don't have the space. At 1.5m long & 0.85m high this is the largest sign we have carved to date.
Someone only has three wheels on their vintage lorry. Not really…just one wheel remaining of a Clayton Shuttleworth lorry made in Lincoln. Wheel totally renewed & rebuilt in our workshop now ready for bonding with the metal tyre. Wheelwrighting still alive & well in Cornwall.

After a short drive across a sunsoaked busy beach & brook at Polzeath today we deliver & assemble a heavy 2.9m bespoke recycled plastic picnic bench with stainless steel fittings. I don't think that I"ll need to do this again at this property in my lifetime! Better waste plastic here than broken down in the oceans too!

Just finished! A new revolving summerhouse beside the see at Polzeath from www.sturdi.co.uk. Rotating on stainless steel running gear with Western Red Cedar cladding & an EPDM rubber roof this little beauty should last a good many years with minimal maintenance.
