In the light of last night’s announcement we have followed government guidelines and closed the course and clubhouse with immediate effect.
Whilst of course this is very disappointing, the health of our members, staff and community are paramount at this point. Our green keeping staff will continue to maintain the course during this period so that we are in a position to reopen without additional delays when permitted.

‼️ OPENING TIMES ‼️ Due to the current situation regarding Coronavirus we have adjusted our bar/kitchen opening times to the following as of today:
🍻 Bar - Last orders at 6pm 🍻 🍔 Kitchen - Closes at 3pm 🍔... ⏰ EVERY DAY ⏰ EXCEPT Mothers Day this Sunday which will be going ahead as planned however we will be stopping food at 5pm instead of 7pm.
As of Monday 23rd March we will be closing the clubhouse and we will be serving drinks, food and dealing with all golf related matters in the Marquee.
⛳️ The GOLF COURSE will be remaining open as usual throughout this period of uncertainty however please do not come up to play if you are suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms. ⛳️

⛳️🍔 Dear Visitors and Members 🍔⛳️
We are in unprecedented territory and the challenges seem to increase on a daily basis for us all. As a golf club we have a duty of care to our staff, members and of course the wider community and hence will try to act accordingly over the coming weeks/months. We also face the very stark challenge which many businesses will also be facing of balancing the books during this period.
A few key points to outline briefly:
... ‼️ We are closely monitoring and following the advice of both the Government website and Public Health England. This will of course guide us on the way forward.
‼️ All staff have been briefed on the current protocol and we will continue to follow this.
‼️ Any staff showing any symptoms will be self-isolating.
‼️ We do not anticipate closing the golf course. Golf is an outdoor sport and currently there is no advice to close the course or classification of it as a social gathering or meeting point. We have a detailed action plan for our green staff to keep the course open during this time.
‼️ If you are not self-isolating and choose to continue to play please practice some sensible measures. Maintain social distancing, avoiding contact and customary handshakes.
‼️ We are looking to close Little Acorns from Wednesday 18th March. Last day of opening being Tuesday 17th March.
‼️ From Thursday 19th March we are only serving food until 3pm and closing the bar and course at 6pm every day. With the exception of Mother’s Day, which will run as originally planned.
‼️ From Monday 23rd March we are looking to operate the Bar, Restaurant, Kitchen and Pro Shop from the Marquee which gives us adequate space to spread the tables and respect the 6 feet social distancing recommendations. We will continue to monitor the situation depending on government advice and staff availability.

At Cricket St Thomas Golf Club we always keep on top of hygiene and cleanliness, it’s as important to us as it is to you! We anti-bac and wash everything!
... This isn’t a change of habit! We do all of this, all of the time.
We also anti-bac touch points such as door handles and are now upping the frequency of doing this due to Coronavirus.

Please continue to support us, wash your hands before entering the Bar, Restaurant or Little Acorns Play Cafe and please, please, please don't attend if you have any symptoms such as a high temperature and a continuous cough.

🐷 The Deep South 🐷 The pork shoulder is coated in our own dry rub and then cooked low and slow for 18 hours before being pulled and mixed with our very own BBQ sauce!
