My boyfriend called up over a month ago, asking if the store had 2 female roborovskis in, as a birthday present to me. The man told him that it was a large litter and there were bound to be at leat 2 females. 2 weeks later we came to pick them up, to find there was only 1. The man told us we could either take it home, and he would give us another female when the new litter came in, or wait for that new litter and take 2 at the same time. We decided to take that hamster home. 1 week later I call up as I havent been told if the new litter was in yet. The man told me that it should be in soon. So i waited another week. Today its 2 weeks since i got my hamster, and I saw in another shop that there were some robos. I enquired about the hamsters, and found out that you cannot put roborovski hamsters together if they are from another litter (or havent seen eachother in a long time) as they will KILL eachother and EAT eachother. Furious, I called up Critter's Cabin, explained what I had just been told, and still they continued to say that they'd sell another female to me or refund the one I have now and give me another. What they do not seem to realise is that owners become attatched to their pets, and even if I were to give her back, she would never be able to be put back with other hamsters as they would fight. Now I am left with a lone hamster, when robos often like being in groups.The staff at Critter's Cabin clearly cannot be bothered to check some hamsters' sexes, and have no knowledge about the animals they are selling. If i had bought home another female like the staff were telling me to, I would have 0 hamsters. I think I deserve some sort of compensation considering this was my birthday present, and I had waited months for it. I cannot believe that the staff are allowed to sell animals when they know nothing about their wellbeing. Its disgusting.

Benn twice on a recommendation from daughter. Always had exactly what I was looking for. Going again today wed 17.8.2016. Hope the same applies. Oh and prices good
