🐴 THE MAC STORY 🐴 ( aka Karamac)! Mac our lovely Palomino 13.2hh gelding has been with us about 9 years, he is in his early twenty’s now but as fit as a fiddle. Mac came to us as a first pony for Laura Owen, who fell in love with him at first sight! 😍 As far as we know he came from Cheshire way and was described as ‘an allrounder’ who could do any pony club activities. When he arrived everyone was waiting on the yard as we don’t often get new ponies. So when the ramp came d...own and he walked off the horse box he had a purple and gold ‘horse of the year’ show rug on! 😱 of course we all gasped and I had to find out what he had done to get that! Well he had done Prince Phillips cup mounted games.. so we thought he must be good!! And he is!! Mac loves to jump, always going over and never wants to stop. He has taught so many children to ride and jump and he loves his work. Laura sold him to us when she grew to big for him which was kind of her because we didn’t want to see him go anywhere else. Laura and her mum Sue know we will keep him forever as this is his home. Mac has a best friend called Timmy, when they go out they gallop and play then they spend ages grooming each other 💜 We all love Mac and he is a very special pony! Love Pat x #ponyoftheweek

🐴 SKITTLES our spotted little friend🐴 Skittles came to us many years ago from Mathew Fleet which is a livery yard just over the road from us. Skittles was owned by Mathew and his nephew Tom who by now was growing to big for him, so Mathew asked if we wanted to buy him because he was such a good little pony. Tom rode him down and put him through his paces in the paddock so we could see what he was like. He loves to be fussed over and the children learn how to ‘lead a pony’ wi...th skittles because he doesn’t pull them and will trot easily. When he is ridden he looks after his riders and is easy to get going, if you like to jump his is good but does like to go fast if you let him, he thinks he is an international show jumper 🐎! Skittles has had one or two bouts of laminitis over the years but fingers crossed 🤞🏻 he’s been ok for the passed 5 years and is now fighting fit! His best friend is Tango who he pesters to itch his mane for him because he loves a scratch. Skittles loves to laugh a lot so look out for picture of him on our story! Love Pat 💜 #ponyoftheweek

💜 MINNIE’S LITTLE STORY💜
Fifteen years or so ago I was sat in the office when the phone 📞 rang. It was a local Horse transporter who said “I have just picked up a nice little pony, the owners want me to take her to Beeston Horse Sales as they can no longer afford her. Do you want to buy her, I’m going to set off now?” Oh no I thought not Beeston she might go for meat! 😱 Oh but I have never seen her, what is she like?? After 2 minutes thought I said.. oh bring her I will have... her! The man said she was ridden by children and was pretty. Half an hour later Minnie arrived. Yes she was pretty, brown and white with a lovely face, about 12.3hh. Since then we have had nothing but pleasure, she has taught lots of children to ride 🐴 and is easy to get going. Minnie is loved by many adults as well as children, she goes out with the Little Girl Ponies and loves being in the field. Minnie’s only problem is sometimes she doesn’t want to come in, it depends on who wants to catch her!! 🤣 She must be in her early 20s now but she is as fit as a fiddle. We all love Minnie and she has turned out to be a real treasure 💎. Love from Pat x #ponyoftheweek

🐴 HECTOR 🐴 When Hector came to us about 10 years ago a little white ball of fluff, with his tiny ears and pop out eyes 👀. He is the sweetest funniest pony you could meet and is Janes very favourite! He is used for beginners or small children who can ride and has a quick bouncy trot! 😍 You can dress him up at Christmas 🎄 he will wear any hats or tinsel, flat caps and bonnets as you can see 🤣👍🏻 He likes nothing better than being brushed on the yard by lots of children. Hecto...r is getting on in years now but he is fit and well and still full of beans. When he goes to the field with his friends storm, Tikka and woody he jogs all the way there and back! The only thing Hector lacks now is teeth!! 😝 So he has lots of little feeds all day to keep his weight on, roll on summer for soft juicy grass and warm weather so he can have a good bath and get back to being ‘white’ again! #ponyoftheweek
