Had my husbands 60th Birthday here. Everything was excellent food, sevice, and the room looked beautiful with all the decorations. The only down side was the night went far too fast. Thank you Nicola and Derrick.

Had a lovely meal yesterday with my Grandaughter and her husband and our great grandaughter, the service and food where excellent so thank you, a great time was had by all. Well done everybody and thanks again.

Great staff and fantastic food. Me and my husband came with our young children and the staff went above and beyond for us. The food had a few things I had never seen before and would definitely recommend coming and trying.

Very warm welcome with good food, bedroom was cold and could do with a winter duvet this time of year.

Popped in to the tavern, for something to eat , I am a vegetarian and usually the menu is restricted, however they couldn't do enough for me , food was excellent home made soup , vegetable 🥒 and stuffed peppers with mushrooms and goats cheese 🧀 to die for

Only had a drink there yesterday,but have eaten in the past.Very nice food and the Lady Barmaid on duty yesterday was very nice and said to call again which I thought was lovely of her.

Excellent food and the staff are very friendly and helpful stayed over one or two issues with the room but would not stop me from staying again

Phone didn't work in the room. No shower curtain. Toilet didn't flush properly. Cheap tasteless tea bags in room. Breakfast tasted of cooking oil. Room was exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed. Staff polite. Expected more for £99 for a double with breakfast.

After booking one of the event rooms for are Daughters wedding on the day I was not impressed,First of all when we arrived I noticed that not all the table favours we're put out even though we had taken them in individual

Table bags when I mentioned it to a member of staff they were then rushing around

To place them on the tables, when guests opened their envelopes some of them had the wrong envelope and I had to exchange them and give them to the right person. Some of us stayed overnight and some of the rooms were not up to standard as in one room there was a broken light bulb in the bath room all over the floor which we had to report this should have been noticed befor we we're give the room, another room hadn't been cleaned properly.The only thing that was exceptional was the food.

I will not recommend a wedding venue to anybody so annoyed as this was are daughters special day.
