It has been another fantastic day in Edale. All the children have been abseiling and then had a delicious ice cream courtesy of the PFA as reward for their bravery! We have just completed our evening weaseling and night hike activities; the view from the top of Mam Tor was breathtaking. We will need to be up early in the morning to pack before breakfast. Afterwards we have our last activity, Treasure Hunt, before lunch and a 1:00pm departure.

We are coming to the end of a fabulous first day here in Edale. Two groups have been caving and weaseling, whilst the other two have canoed and been on a night hike. Everybody is settling down now for a good night's sleep ready for a full day tomorrow.

We still have quite a few cake tins left over from our bake sale at the end of last term. If your cake tin hasn't been returned, please call in to the school office. Thank you.

A huge congratulations to our Year 5 tennis team, who all played with a great deal of skill to win the local schools tournament this evening. Well done everyone, we are very proud of you all!

Our netball team performed outstandingly well at the all Wakefield schools tournament yesterday. After losing the first 3 games, they showed great resilience and skill to win the remaining 4 games to finally finish in 4th position. We are very proud of not only their netball skills but their attitude and commitment.

Just to remind everyone that the children are invited to wear odd socks tomorrow in support of World Down Syndrome Day.

We are coming to the end of another fantastic day here at Robinwood. The weather has been a little more wet today; however, we haven't let it dampen our spirits or stop us from completing any of the activities. The Leap of Faith has been a highlight for many of the children along with going for gold in the archery. All the children have once again been complimented for their behaviour and politeness by the Robinwood staff, which has been lovely to hear. We have three more activities to complete tomorrow morning, including the infamous Piranha Pool, which I am positive you will hear many stories about when the children return!

It has been a very full and exciting day for the children here at Robinwood. The weather has be relatively kind to us and the children have had great fun on the zip wire, Giant Swing and climbing wall to name just a few of the activities. It has been a pleasure to see the children work together and support each other in tackling all the challenges and overcoming their fears. It has also been a pleasure to hear the instructors say how wonderful the children have been. They are... settling down to sleep now in readiness for an action packed day tomorrow when they will take part in another seven activities. I would also like to congratulate all the children who took part in the cross country event today, it is an amazing achievement to earn the right to represent all Wakefield schools. I have been told each and everyone of the children ran brilliantly and that they should be extremely proud of themselves! I would also like to thank the parents of the Year 5 children taking part who then came through to Robinwood so they could join us.

🚸🚦There will not be a Crossing Patrol on Thursday morning. Please tell your children to take extra care when crossing the road 🚦🚸

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and supported our Valentine's disco last night. The PFA made an amzing £400.20 profit all of which will go towards the crossing patrol fund.

Our Year 6 children gave another outstanding performance at the netball tournament last night winning all three games and collecting the trophy. We are very proud not only of their performance but also the sporting manner in which they played.

User

We would like to say a huge congratulations to our cross country athletes, who ran with great determination in the all Wakefield schools event last night. Everyone gave their very best and as a result we as a school were incredibly proud of them. We will find out tomorrow if the school, groups of children or individuals will be asked to represent Wakefield at the West Yorkshire event.

Due to the playground being very icy again this morning, the side gate won't be open until 8:45am and all children will come into school via the Year 5 / 6 corridor entrance.
