Although a little pebbly at the top, Crooklets offers a huge expanse of golden sand and rock pools to explore once the tide is out. It is popular with surfers, but also families who would prefer a beach without dogs.
There are lots of beach huts available to hire.
Ideal for: Surfing and beach games.
Accessibility: A decent sized car park, from which there is level access.
Facilities: Sea front café, public toilets, outdoor shower, beach huts for hire

Best time to surf: All tides

Location: EX23 8NF – 0. 8 miles north of Bude Town centre
