CrossFit is a full body conditioning programme for any age & ability, CrossFit workouts are scalable to suit each individual and their own personal goals, the CrossFit community brings together a wide range of people from beginners who are new to fitness and the elite athletes who are looking for a new challenge, both body and mind. CrossFit challenges the body in all areas using as many different and unique exercises and movements as possible. Our aim is to adapt and develop exercises which allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injuries.

CrossFit foundations are built around targeting key fitness areas such as: Cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, co-ordination, agility, balance and accuracy.

The aim is to prepare YOU to deal with life's challenges i. e. the unknown or unknowable! ! !

Our workouts are constantly varied and therefore you will never do two days the same, two weeks the same or two months the same. This keeps things interesting and increases the impact of each workout. The key to CrossFitвҖҷs success is due to not allowing the body get used to the type of activity /training /movement you are regularly performing (keeping the body guessing) therefore by using functional compound movements, which are performed at high intensity and are constantly varied in their duration, movements and repetitions, this allows your body to keep adapting and therefore continue getting you RESULTS long term! ! !

Originating from South Africa, Gerhard Maz moved to the UK in 2012 to pursue a career in The British Army. Having always had a love for Sport and Fitness, he qualified as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) for the Army in 2017 and is currently serving as a Squadron PTI for 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards. He is also working towards his goal of becoming part of the Royal Army Physical Training Cor...ps!
CrossFit came to the forefront of MazвҖҷs training back in 2015 and is one of his ever growing passions. He has taken part in numerous competitions across the country and represented his Unit, and Spitfire, in team events as well as individual events.
In addition to his Army training, Maz has a wide range of additional Sport and Strength & Conditioning qualifications and also Mountaineering, Rock Climbing and Level 3 Sports Nutrition!

We are looking for a qualified CrossFit Coach to join Team Spitfire on a Part Time basis, with competitive rates of pay (also dependant on experience) and the potential to take on Personal Training clients, and the opportunity to expand your skill set ...and experience in one of the most popular, best equipped and finest fitness facilities in Norwich.
Only serious applicants need apply. Applicants must have a minimum of a CF-L1 with previous experience of coaching in a CrossFit gym, preferably with additional professional development such as British Weightlifting Level 1 / 2, CF-L2 and S & C experience where possible. As part of the Team you will be sponsored for additional specialist courses and also trained in-house to further your development.
We are looking for motivated and passionate individuals who care about movement, people, understand the importance of community and developing and nurturing personal and team relationships, and embrace the CrossFit methodology. They must be flexible, reliable, effective communicators and team players.

We are very pleased to announce that we have a brand new CrossFit Endurance class in the Spitfire Timetable available to book from now, starting in February, taking place on the following days and times:
вқҮпёҸ Tuesday: 1045-1145... вқҮпёҸ Saturday: 0715-0815
In CrossFit Endurance you will learn how to pace yourself in various workouts, work on your technique and participate in heart-rate based programming. During these classes you will be #Running, #Rowing, #Biking and #Skiing, in addition to all of the Endurance Training methodologies across the full spectrum of CrossFit, including #OlympicWeightlifting, #Strongman and #Gymnastics. The Endurance classes are suitable for all abilities from absolute beginners to advanced!
The classes will be a mix of the three most important domains of Endurance Training:
