About Crouchley Hall Farm

Family run smallholding in Cheshire, rearing free range Kelly Bronze turkeys for sale locally. We also have a small pedigree flock of Wiltshire Horn sheep.

Crouchley Hall Farm Description

After marrying a farmer’s daughters over 30 years ago, David and Paul accidentally got involved in agriculture through the normal farming reluctance to let any chance of free labour get away. Vaccinating calves, chasing bullocks, penning turkeys, mucking out horses, fixing burst pipes and mending broken fences, generally at short notice and often improperly dressed, became their introduction to farm work.

Since that baptism by fire, they have both had full time careers outside farming but more recently with the involvement of their wives and children, the family have been developing a new, part-time smallholding on the family farm, starting off with sheep, on the dubious grounds that no-one knew anything about them, so it was bound to be new and “interesting”.

The family now runs a pedigree flock of Wiltshire Horn sheep, rears occasional pigs, keeps a fluctuating flock of poultry (layers and table birds) and the most recent development was the new free range flock of KellyBronze turkeys for Christmas 2012 – the Labradors just sit and watch.
