Crow Farm Horses Description

Since 1989 i have been working with horses. A vocation which has led me travel all over the world.

Besides many years of paying my dues as rider, groom, and head lass on hunting, dealing, training, and competition yards in the UK, I have also been lucky enough to travel and work as a horsewoman on three continents.

From the deserts of North India to ranches in the USA. From stud farms in England, Asia and Eastern Europe to safari guiding in Hawaii and Rajasthan. From rehab trainer in Wales to intructor and guide in Andalucia, heartland of the Doma Vaquera and classical riding in Spain. If i have learned one thing it is that when working with horses it pays to keep an open heart and an open mind.

Other equestrian quests have taken me to the Himalayas, the Bedouin horsemen of Syria, and extensive travels by horse through the world of traditional nomadic horsemen in Kyrgyzstan. It has been a huge honor to work beside and learn from horsemen and women of some of the greatest traditional equestrian cultures in the world.

After so much travel it seemed like time to settle down. Crow Farm is now my base in West Cornwall. The way we do things at Crow Farm is a culmination of what i have learned over the last 25 or so years. I passionately believe that every horse has his own special gifts and talents. It's our job to find the right ways to work with him and to bring these to fruition.

We are just settling in at Crow farm, (so we can't yet invite you around for a cup of tea! ) - but if you are interested in studying a wider view of horsemanship, one that has space for the best of both worlds, the old-school and the new, compassion and practicality, gentleness but also getting things done, - then please do stick around.
