Basil Fawlty is alive and well - he's running this hotel ! As well as having an interesting approach to customer relations (I was told to feel free to leave if I wasn't happy about an issue with my room), it's a throwback to the 1980s. If you're looking for a room in the Lakes, my advice would be to keep looking!!
Lovely hotel, friendy staff, great customer service, room immaculate, comfy beds, brilliant location between town centre & lake only minor negative is noisy shower, definitely recommend!
Very convenient for town, lake and theatre. Free parking. Good breakfast. Good views especially from front rooms. Refurbished en-suites with good showers.
Stayed 12th August 2017
Good off road parking, clean lounge and breakfast room, some friendly staff. Stayed in standard room (cat bells) for £140 for one night. Not impressed with view of brick wall and air conditioning system (noise alll night).
Was not advised no view just limited! Bathroom was modern, but the rest of the small room was not clean or modern. Cobwebs and ripped wallpaper. Would not stay again as staff never even apologised. Said standard room what do you expect! I expect a partial view, clean room, modern decor, reduced price. £10 more would have got a classic room. Is that a tired decor room with partial view? Who knows I will not recommend or stay again.
comfortable with friendly staff in avgreat location.
