An amazing little gem of a hotel complex tucked away in a beautiful village, just outside of Carlisle. Very, very friendly staff.
Excellent spa and sports facilities as well.

Checked in late, very helpful night porter. Also very helpful younger (European?) team member serving breakfast...so lovely and kind.
Spacious rooms, dog friendly in general. Pool, gym and spa options for the adjacent health club. Plenty of food options for dinner at the bar (where dogs are allowed) and early breakfast. Parking okay, lovely area with nearby river for a walk. Only downside is it was very hot, and the rooms had no fans or air con. Otherwise good
We had a lovely four poster room with views down to the church yard. The location is gorgeous with a near bye walk along the river Eden or a lovely old rail station in the other direction from the hotel. We received excellent service from all staff from the moment we arrived till when we left. We used the spa facilities and pool and were lucky that it was quiet during our visit, making it even more relaxing. We ate in the hotel and could not fault a single meal. We would love to return.
Easy to get to off the M6, lovely bright good sized room. Friendly staff. Great pub and restaurant. Lovely little village too

We had a lovely two night stay in this hotel. The room was excellent and the food was really good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They provided us with a bucket of ice and two champagne glasses for our own bottle of champagne. Will definitely go back, highly recommend a visit.
Stayed in the crown suite, everything was perfect. We ate in the Walton's Bar which is a more upmarket pub. The pool and leisure centre are really clean and changing facilities are superb. Would recommend and stay again
